Ice Cold Protein
Support your health and physique goals with these easy-to-make yogurt treats.
Healthier ice cream and froyo alternatives are tricky. Fat-free options add more sugar. Sugar-free options usually add sugar alcohols which wreck your gut. So, make your own. These "pops" are high in protein, contain no added sugar, and they're good for your gut. Here's the video.
Ingredients
- 3 scoops of MD Protein (Buy at Amazon) (vanilla or chocolate)
- 2 cups plain fat-free yogurt
- Half a cup of powdered peanut butter (like PB2 (Buy at Amazon))
- Toppings of choice (nuts, berries, coconut flakes, chocolate, etc.)
Instructions
- In a big bowl, stir together the yogurt, protein powder, and powdered peanut butter.
- Using an ice cream or cookie dough scooper, drop dollops onto a pan covered in parchment paper or (ideally) a Silpat silicone mat (Buy at Amazon).
- Insert ice cream sticks (Buy at Amazon) into each.
- Now you can have some fun. Add berries, coconut flakes, or nuts.
- Freeze for an hour or two and enjoy.
Options: You can also freeze them first, then melt some dark chocolate, dip them in, and freeze them again until the chocolate sets. For variety, use vanilla or chocolate MD Protein (Buy at Amazon) or different flavors of yogurt.
