There’s a urologist here in NY named Dr Rotman who I saw recommended over on Excelmale (did an AMA there too). I met with him, we got along great, but he wasn’t quite Dr Saya. Basically the same concept overall, but a few quirks, namely him pushing me to use HCG and saying he’s never seen it make a guy feel worse. That said, it was a tough call between the two, and if I could no longer afford Dr Saya, or something happened to him, I’d go see Dr Rotman as a close 2nd.
Was kind of weird talking to a Dr about Nelson Vergel’s presentations though…usually my other doctors HATE when I mention any of my own research lol.
@bigmistake2 I agree dr Saya is a great doctor, but no doctor can have 100 percent success with all his patients.
Reading all of your posts I understand that except you being very inpatient like me which seems to be a big fuck-up in the TRT world there is something odd with the way your body handles TRT, the tumor and so on.(hope I dont join the odd club soon)
I will recommend you to try another dr of the caliber of dr Say and I will recommend you which one exactly. You can do a single consult with him now and later judge if you want to switch. He is also very experienced in TRT, around 20 years and is the guy who goes into the details and solves hard cases. He has un-screwed a lot of guys that for some reason did not do well on TRT so far and also he is very experienced in dealing with pituitary tumors, empty cella and so on. If he notices something odd with you he may put you on some genetic testing. This is the site of his clinic:
Yes, it will cost you money but seeing you how you suffer it may be worthy. Dont count that anyone on this forum will be able to help you because your case seems complicated and will require a very complex approach.
Always good to hear from you man, I feel we’ve been in similar boats more than once here.
My body has always handled the most benign things much more differently than most, and I’ve concluded it’s not always placebo. B vitamins shoot me right to feeling like I’m having roid rage. On the other hand, my allergist has been trying to get me on a nasal steroid for allergies for a while, and the one he’s got me now I expected to be a total flop, but it’s working well so far. On the flip side, another one I expected to work great from reviews gave me 2-3 weeks of bronchitis like symptoms. I’ve had a couple doctors suspect it may be related to the tumor in a way that can’t be explained in blood tests or other typical things.
I’ll look into this guy next if things don’t level out for me (just sent them a message actually). The pituitary tumor part really stands out - if he’s got some atypical ways of treating it, I’m all ears. Dr Saya said if I do need to get prolactin down still, we could try Mirapex. Just as many horror stories about it, but it’s not an ergoline derivative so maybe I’d respond better. Something for you to look into too maybe, I know you’ve had more trouble with caber than I have.
To follow up on taking too much this time, I didn’t inject on Saturday, and began feeling downright awful Saturday night and into Sunday morning. If it’s from dropping T levels, it was a friendly reminder as to why I started also - when I was in the 400s my life felt nearly unlivable. I don’t want to experience that again as I age. Especially if it creeps up over a decade or two, I’d probably never even notice. I was scared to inject again, fearing I’d go through that all over. I just did 10mg, and several hours later, things cleared up and I’m feeling a lot better now. Think I’m just gonna have to start low and slowly increase it if I stay on T prop.
Feeling like life isn’t worth living = raise dose 2mg or so
Feeling like I want to throw a weight at the mirror at the gym (almost did) = lower it again
I do like the fact that I was able to correct the problem quickly, whereas T cyp would definitely have been a slower process.
First as for supplements I would suggest you are careful with that and start patiently. I noticed when i start a new supplement, b-complex now for example I always feel strange side effects the first 2-3 weeks. Then like my body adjusts and I stop feeling anything
As you have tried many things if you go with dr Rob I think he will try to clear out the complexity and dial your protocol. As for the tumor I have no idea what he will suggest since you do not respond to caber.
By the way you can search him by the name he has podcasts in youtube. Also for contact they are a bit slow in answering the mail, better contact them on the phone or facebook page.
Have you considered gama knife, I think we mentioned once? Still dont just do blindly what I or other forum members suggest to you but find and go with the right doctor
I advise you find time to go to his office dont do online consult, because he puts a lot of attention in the physical examination of the patient.
By the way I hope to start TRT in Thursday so wish me luck
Hey @dextermorgan, are you being serious about this? I’ve been reading up on this too. I’m considering getting a physical after Thanksgiving and asking the doctor to run base blood for physical type things. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a physical so I bet I can ask for liver blood work.
Now, how do I buy and get the anavar delivered without my wife finding out… That’s the real question.
I’ve looked into gamma knife, but I believe it’s only to “clean up” the remains of large tumors after surgery. I know it comes with complications of its own, and the outcomes seem less consistent. At least with surgery, the risks seem pretty well documented, and there are typically solutions (assuming you don’t go blind).
Anavar has no place in a TRT regimen. Neither does Nandrolone which also seems to be commonly prescribed these days at Anti Aging clinics. Regardless, if you want to use it just be honest with yourself that its a mini cycle. Also, keep it short as its harsh on the lipids. Regarding the tests you were referring to a CBC w/lipid panel for the physical (remember to fast) and a CMP for liver function.
Thanks for the information @blshaw, very much appreciated. I’ve been on TRT for over 2 years. With improvements in workouts/muscle building the thought to blast/add something to my TRT has lingered. Anavar seemed like a decent compound to add to accelerate weight loss/muscle building further… But still reading about it, etc…
Have you tried Anavar? Did it do what you expected it to and was it worth it?
@bcostigan41
I was just kidding about the Anavar but I definitely would do that over Deca. Iron started TRT along with Anavar for his first year and he loved it. Obviously he stopped. I’m not really for anything you can’t do forever on TRT. For me feeling great for small periods of time leads to addiction. Upping the Testosterone to cycle levels makes me feel a little worse than on TRT so I don’t think I have to worry about it.
@bigmistake2
Check with dr Rob, I’m almost certain he will find a way to make you feel better. Trust his judgement even if what he suggest yo you seems strange.
At the end this stuff is so complicated that me must find a good doctor suitable for our needs and trust him. We cannot become doctors for ourselves no matter how much we read and educate, especially for such complicated cases like yours.
Even if you don’t like to go with him find the right doctor for you and trust him, don’t count on the forum to resolve your issues. I’m sure for every problem there is a solution
I have not tried Anavar… yet. I’m not opposed to your idea at all. I think the question/topic belongs more in the pharma section. When commenting on TRT there are a lot of new folks that can misunderstand things quickly. Anavar and Nandrolone are not TRT compounds. They have no place in hormone replacement. I just wanted to clear that up. As far as performance enhancing drugs… that’s another story.
Oxandrolone/Anavar is considered a mild/safer compound but it doesn’t come without risks. It does appear to be lower on the chart regarding hepatotoxicity which is unique for 17α-alkylated AAS. It does however wreak havoc on the lipids so if you choose to use, keep the duration short as in less than two months for sure. Good luck and let us know if you choose to join the dark side.
Did you end up trying deca? I had a followup consult with Defy today after changing which practitioner I was using there and he is recommending we try some low-dose nandrolone. I’m a little skeptical but also like, “fuck, I’ve been on TRT for ages, I’ve never tried Deca, may as well get it under supervision from a medical professional and see what happens”. The PA I spoke with today indicated that he’s using it himself and has helped with E2 control without needing an AI. He and I talked about the ratio of Free T to E2 and mine is quite overbalanced toward E2, but I don’t do well with AIs. So we’re going to give the Deca + test enanthate combo a shot to see what happens.
