Yup, lots of times. That moral set left the building a long time ago, though.

I agree with both of you.
But as long as I keep getting high quality supps that actually work, and as long as Biotest doesn’t overstate the effects or price, I’m fine…
but the way things look like they may be going, that’s an if.

I don’t care if Biotest does overstate the effects. Only the price. As long as they are effective, I really don’t care if article write-ups and the like exagerrate things.

I’m still on the fence personally, and am not accusing T-mag of anything, because we don’t know what they’ll be doing with them so I don’t think we should jump to conclusions. However, if it is as bad as it could be, we should be shelling them about it, because it’s not why we’re here.

So why are we here? I thought it was to get excellent training advice and information and purchase quality supplements. I don’t see why that should be incompatible with Biotest making extra dough through mass marketing.
Well I think the main concern here is that if Biotest gains mass appeal, then the site will have to change, become softer etc… shrug donno what the chances of that are. The site’s been getting more and more popular but TC’s editorials still sting and talk about his penis just the same…

I think that T-Nation will continue to produce high quality articles for a while, I just hope that Biotest doesn’t fully slip into the relm of other suplement companies, leaving the high end suplement area void of products.
The reason why I say this is because I speculate that argenine products (NO-Explode) would be more profitable but less effective than Surge. As a very general example.

I don’t think there’s any danger of that. Most of the people who buy Biotest supplements from off-line retailers probably won’t even know this site exsits.

Well, I hope that doesn’t happen. I doubt it will.

You’re absolutely right! Bodybuilders aren’t selling a freaking thing for us. We’re the ones doing the “selling.”
The T-Nation gang of experts is going to get heavily involved in every aspect of this project. These three athletes – one bodybuilder and two figure competitors – are going to make unbelievable progress, like they’ve never experienced before. Our supplements and coaching are on display here . . . and the physiques are the result.
Don’t get me wrong. Stan, Gina, and Jelena are hardworking, knowledgeable competitors. And they’re going to do their parts. But they all have specific problems to overcome before they can achieve their goals.
This project is more about us – T-Nation – than anything else. It’s totally real and you’re going to get to see behind the scenes as events unfold.

Damn, I was hoping to be on a reality TV show.
Oh well, this sounds like it’s going to be very interesting, informative and entertaining anyway, even if I don’t become famous.

That’s exactly what I wanted to hear. I’m glad I didn’t doubt you guys about that, but I had to question it. I figured you’d have something pretty sweet in mind.

We do something with three physique competitors and you act like it’s a matter of time before we stop publishing high-quality articles.
How in the world are those two issues related?
T-Nation has been around for nearly 10 years . . .

No. That’s why they’re also going to take the best Trolls from this site and make them super-villains.

I’m sure M and Myostat were profitable, too, but Biotest dropped those from the line-up at a point when they could no longer justify selling something whose effects weren’t certain; people would have kept buying them on this site, and I’m sure Biotest could have marketed them to the populace at large and made plenty of dough.
Do you assume that serious people with professional reputations like Thibaudeau, Berardi, Robertson and Poliquin, Staley and Tate and Waterbury, et alia, would prostitute themselves for a company that “sold out”? Or would Biotest just find a bunch of less-reputable writers?

Yes it does sound like it will be something to watch!
Tim, forgive the others on the site – they do not know what they say.

Hey guys, you can check out this video from Stan. He worked with prolab at the time, but you can get a feel for what the brings to the table.
Stan McQuay was with PROLAB for a number of years while being a national level NPC competitor, all the while never being able to achieve the holy grail of a PRO CArd. Now that he has joined the T-Nation, will we help take him to that next level?
From the information and passion that I’ve come to know from this community, ABSOLUTELY. And what better way to stick it to other supplement companies who basically hire athletes simply as figureheads looking for a bigger dollar?
