Cool. I’m doing almost solely highbar now and prefer it. We’ve got similar numbers on some things, but you beat me overall haha

Bench and dead have always come easy man, this damn squat is coming along but it sure has hell been a struggle in the past.

I as well prefer high bar.

Nice squatting man.

Thanks Ryan.

Week 7 Ed Coan

*Hit all my numbers, form was off a little on flat bench. Been tired, parents are on vaca and I’ve been taking care of my younger brothers and sis driving all over the globe and sleeping much. Sweating like a beast today as well so I was sliding on the bench.

However I experimented on CGBP and tucked my feet as far as they could possibly be tucked…helped me with a big arch and made the pressing easier. It was impossible for my ass to leave the bench as well.

Bench

135 x 10
135 x 10
205 x 5
255 x 3

325 x 5
325 x 5

CGBP

285 x 5
285 x 5

Incline

265 x 5
265 x 5

Will lift more tonight as well.

Sofa King Strong.

I like the look of this programme too, looks like fun!

Thanks bud. Liking the program so far. Hope I can get my form a little more under control next week, was slightly disappointed today, some ass off the bench on a couple reps, it’s alright though, I know how to fix it.

Curious, how are you fixing it? I know I have really long legs, so the only way I’ve found to help is tucking my feet underneath me while on my toes. But honestly I’d rather Bench flat footed, just can’t seem to with out my ass popping up either…

Same problem, I have very long legs as well…At this point until I add some serious mass to my chest and back as well as triceps, I think the only solution to get a nice arch, stay tight and shorten the ROM to lead to increased weight while ass stays on the bench is arching big and then forcefully tucking your feet under you the the point that they can’t be tucked anymore. This will give you a nice arch and keep your ass on the bench because it’s impossible to lift it off with you feet tucked like that. Last week my ass was coming up on the 275 inclines, today it stayed flat with 285…Last reps on flat bench my ass was up but I was benching with my feet flat out in front. It just won’t work for me right now.

Yeah that makes sense. So you are up on your toes as well? I need to work on keeping my arch tight, but once weight gets heavy I inevitably lose it. Probably just need to get stronger and practice more.

Strengthen your back and traps.

Yeah up on my toes now, my form also breaks down a bit when it gets heavy…always a work in progress.

New vid out btw.

Lost over 5 pounds in a week and a half and a little over an inch off my waist. Nuts too cause I’ve been eating a good amount. Really goes to show how much school was putting a hamper on progress. Now that I have given up the majority of my alcohol consuption, there goes all the bloat I had and 1000s of calories/week I won’t be consuming.

Deadlifts today.

Kinda wanted to get a feel back for heavy deads…Next few weeks will be thompson method before I give a max a go again.

Will go back for cardio tonight.

Kinda a low key feel it out workout at the new gym, writing a plan up with set exercises and progression to get things rockin’.

30 minutes cardio, nothing special, just the eli[elliptical… Was at LA fitness and was going to get my heavy bag work done but they had exercise classes in the cardio room :frowning:

Hit the sauna after.

Gunna right up and post my summer lifting plan in a bit…

Jeez that was a large jump on the DLs man. You get it soon if you got it that far

8, 3 minute rounds on the heavy bag.

20 minutes of basketbal, worked on my dunk…vert is getting nasty, can dunk with no running start under the basket, can grab rim with two hand easily which is a first…yeah buddy.

Yeah, I would plan out your work sets a little better next time. 495 to 620 seems a bit much.

Anything specific for your jump? Or just playing ball and getting the squat up?

CS, yeah you and Ryan are right. It felt nice though so I think a few weeks I’ll take a smarter approach and nail it.

Spidey, nothing specific yet, obviously the explosive leg movements, squats, hammie moves, even being on my toes boxing helps. I am sure sprints and running helps too. I am going to add plyometrics back into my training for cardio once or twice a week on top of everything else. I like balling. Now just to dunk on someone in game…

Ohh yeah. I’ve dunked in a game once, not on someone though. Hopefully as I get stronger, I’ll be able to pull it off.
