Also thought this might be of interest to you. I recently purchased a kangen water machine (they’re a little pricy but worth it in the long run if you’re really trying to alkalize). You hook it up to you sink and bam…unlimited ionized/alkaline water. Also filters out fluoride and impurities.

Hi Coach Thib! And Congratulations! You’re a role model for me because I knew that you suffered a viral myocarditis ( excuse me if I am wrong) in past time. I am a cardiologist and appreciate and enjoy every article you publish at T-nation. And as cardiologist I would like to know if you are planning to write a book about your experience with that disease. Or if you did that already, let me know where to find that. Thank you.

Yes I had viral myocarditis 8 years ago. Got stung by a weird insect when I was on my honeymoon in Aruba. Started to have flu-like symptoms when I got home, but kept training hard and the virus propagated to the heart. This led to heart failure.

According to m latest tests I’m back in the normal range and it seems like the infarcted portion of the heart is smaller than it was, go figure.

Wow! Thank God you recovered from that heart failure. Most people don’t have that outcome. And it would be of great help and inspiration if, in the future, you plan to write a book about lifting weights in the context of heart failure convalescence and cardiac rehabilitation, the dos and dont’s.

Looking solid CT.

Eating any veggies cooked or are they all raw?

Any stims or coffee?

edit:

With the meals you posted plus 1 serving Mag-10, and 2 scoops of Plazma, you are at about 2200 kcal. I included 2 cups broccoli, 2 cups spinach, 1 medium bell pepper, 1 cucumber.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I’m taking 1 mg “sea-iodine” from LEF, it is supposed to help with fluoride/bromide/all that stuff.

Maybe not a whole book (I’m already working on a new one) but I could have some chapters in the book I’m working on since it details many things that I changed to be healthier.

Actually iodine, magnesium and sodium bicarbonate is an amazing mix to fight acidity, inflammation and bacteria

My brocoli and cauliflowers are steamed

Dude I have a lot more brocoli than that… I have at least 3 bunches per day, sometimes more… a bunch has around 200 calories. So I’m having at least 600-800 calories from brocoli… 2 cups is only 60 calories

I also normally have 2 cucumbers and 2 or 3 bell peppers

Brain Candy in the morning and an ECGC supplement.

3 bunches… that is bonkers! Are you concerned at all that glucosinolates in broccoli may interfere with iodine absorption? I suppose if you have a normal functioning thyroid it’d be OK.

Coach, how much is 10g of arm and hammer?

10g is 10g, what do you mean? 10g is about half a teaspoon

1/2 a teaspoon. Thank you. That’s what I was getting at. I’m sorry for my poorly worded question.

Have you had any stomach issues such as gas, bloating ect with the baking soda? I actually used to add 1/2 as well to my surge workout fuel and had bad issues with that. Even when I added water and siped slower. Tried taking it alone with lemon water and had the same issue.

So, 200g of whitefish provides 40g of protein. With that 3x’s daily, a serving of Mag-10 (20g protein), 2 servings of Plazma (30g protein) and then the almonds twice that is about 185g of protein daily. That is enough for you to gain on? Thanks for the info.

There are proteins in veggies too. For example in a bunch olf brocoli there is 17-20g of protein and I eat 2 or 3 per day So that comes up to 240g per day and I’m about 205. 1lbs per pound has been shown to be the upper limit where there is additional benefits for muscle growth, so if anything I’m a bit on the high side. I’ve eaten A LOT more protein previously and did not notice faster progress.

Copy that. Thank you.

What’s your take on Mercury issues, any concerns?

I buy flash frozen wild caught fish, consider it one of my best options? Any other suggestions?
