Programming Layer System for 2B

Hi CT,
I’m a 2b, and I can not do the layering system for long. How can I configure a schedule for the 3 periods, Accumulation, Intensification and Transformation?

I don’t know if that will help but here’s what I’ve been doing as a type 2b.

I’ve been training using the 531+FSL Triumvirate template for a while. 3 exercises a day, that works for me, although if I feel good one day I’ll add a 3rd assistance exercise, maybe a superset, and get a bigger pump.

The thing is, instead of doing 5 straight sets of 10-15 which is beyond awful and boring and I can’t understand how people can do this stuff (props to them tho) - I sit on a machine and go for a giant drop set shooting for 10-15 reps, remove 10%, hit failure, repeat 3 more times. Usually ending up barely moving 50% for a few reps. Lots of fun and very appropriate for an accumulation phase. So that’s my “5 sets of 10-15” type 2b style :wink:

Intensity cycle: I change the assistance exercises for a more specific stimulus, less reps.

Transformation: I just do a few sets of FSL and very minimal assistance.
