Currently I’m in the midst of designing a program that I intend to follow for the next 8-12 weeks. Recently I have discovered that if I have a plan established on paper I’m more motivated to focus on my less developed parts.
My problem is that whenever I seem to have my program well underway I remember something else I’m forgetting. Is there anything (i.e., lists I can write out) to help me design my program more effectively?
Truthfully: I steal stuff from other people and mold it all together to make my programs.
You might want to put your program on a spreadsheet of some sort that way if you want to add something you can do so on the paper and not have to stop everything.
And no offense but do you think some of this could be procrastination on your part? You keep finding ways to impede your training. This is just me and the last issue of Pychology Todday talking…
Have to agree with Char here. I myself like to mix up and match all ideas etc. Sometimes I come up with something good…other times. Yeek! Anyways right after I’m done my recovery phase(for shoulders) I’m trying a full program probably diversity for hypertrophy or anti-bodybuilding and I’m going to stick with it!
Periodization. If you design a program ans then remember something you forgot, save it for the next specialization. I must say, it’s a lot easier to pick a program off of T-mag. My favorites are OVT, EDT, and the Ripped, Rugged, and Dense. I am currently doing MAX-OT, and will do Waterbury’s Anti-BodyBuilding Hypertrophy program in about 8 weeks.
