I need to pick some therapy products up, because all I have right now is an ice bag, and a small trigger point tool.
What are your favorites for Hot, Cold and Massage therapy. Let me know exactly what you use and if you recommend it.
FOr COld: I’m definitely going to get the Cryocup. Any other products to consider? THere are some cool reusable ice packs out there, that can be wrapped around various bodyparts-anyone use them?
For Hot: I don’t know what to buy, other than a hot water bottle. Is that good enough?
For massage: I can’t afford massage therapy right now, so if you use a massage device, let me know what it is and your experiences with it. Doesn’t matter if its electric or not.
For massage I don’t know but for hot and cold see if you can get some gel packs. I have two packs I’ve used for a couple of years. Put in freezer for cold, hot water for hot!!!

Sonny, for cold I’ve used a bag of frozen peas, and I’ve also used just a straight ice cube along with a dish towel to hold it and soak up the melted water.
For hot, I like to use a heating pad on top of a towel that I’ve wrung out in water. You get some moist heat going that way.
TT- what kind of heating pad? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one, so I have no clue what it looks like. Is it electric? Can it be heated in the mocriwave? etc etc.?
#1- A cold pool- (You can either pay thousands of dollars and buy one or use the natural version- An unheated outdoor pool during the late fall or early spring is usually left neglected but can make an excellent therapeutic device for crazy diehards) #2 A bucket- fill with water, add ice and insert feet #3- Having a deep well that makes the water in your shower run extremely cold.
I have heard the argument that cold pools are damaging to the CNS after a workout and raise stress levels. Do you feel the benefits outweigh any negatives?
