Pro-steroids

I’m still confused regarding the pro-steroid issue. Can someone explain to me why Biotest can continue to sell 4-AD-EC but not MAG-10, since both contain pro-steroids?

Although MAG-10 additionally contains a “Class 1” pro-steroid, my understanding is that the ban encompasses all pro-steroids, regardless of class.

I ask because the Senate has yet to vote on the ban, and since 4-AD-EC is back, it seems like MAG-10 was taken off the market prematurely.

Thanks.

TC here.

The impending ban applies to both MAG-10 and 4-AD-EC.

Our contacts tell us that the ban is on the fast-track and it could take effect within a month or two.

Why isn’t MAG-10 on the market anymore?

When we had MAG-10 made, we had to manufacture a certain minimum amount of bottles to make it cost effective. It’s not like we can call the factory and say, “Whip up 100 bottles for Friday!”

As such, we haven’t ordered any more, even though we could at this point. We’re just reluctant to be stuck with several hundred bottles of MAG-10 in our warehouse when the ban takes effect.

As far as 4-AD-EC, we worked on this stuff for a long time and it’s just too damn cool not to produce. So, we bit the bullet and contracted to have a couple of small batches made prior to the ban taking effect, partly so we at Biotest would have some to use, too!
