I’d say Yates, and then Coleman. I really don’t like the mass monsters of today. Sure it’s freaky and what not but it’s definitely not a good look IMO. That’s probably why I like AV’s physique, reminds me a lot of the golden era guys. Aesthetically pleasing and not too freakish…

x2 on Big Ron
Everything is cyclical so I’m wondering when size will become less desirable when compared to shape and lines.
Hopefully soon.

I highly doubt he said that… complete nonsense
He wrote it.

I think Yates downplays what he took alot even though he has mentioned what he took.
I remember it was posted on here before were he did a interview with 2 guys and he would be open and blabla about the usage, but he was still pretty dam vague. Which is fine but I would take whatever these pros say with a grain of salt, when they talk about how much they were taking.
Yeah, and how his blood values were normal for over a decade despite taking 1+ grams of roids a week.
Lol a lot of pros lie about how much / how little they take. Hell even amateurs too.

Yeah, but I think we can all agree that you can’t just keep adding more and reaping greater results. Guys like Yates might simply be more responsive to the substances being employed.

Agreed. What works for some might not for others.

actually you can… however the results will diminish quickly but they will be slightly greater.
the saying goes, you’re only as big as your dose
@Walkway- You’re much more versed in anabolics than I am, can’t some folks simply be more responsive than others? The idea applies to training response, tendency towards food partitioning and insulin sensitivity, why not the effects of PEDs.

what I don’t get is why Dorian would lie? I’m not saying he did or he didn’t, just that I don’t understand why he would?
I mean off the top of my head, Dorian’s off-season cycle was something like (according to the MD article he wrote)
-750mg Test
-500mg Deca
-50mg Dianabol/day
I’ve also seen an interview where he reported using 8iu gh/day.
now that’s a decent cycle, but waaaaaaaay less than most big guys use. So obviously because it’s so much less, people have questioned whether or not it’s true.
The thing that I think is funny about the whole thing is that he comes across as a no BS kinda guy in all his interviews (if not a little surly), so why would he BS about this when he doesn’t BS about anything else? I dunno, just seems weird.
Same with Lee Priest; people don’t believe he runs (or ran) as low doses as he claimed. It just seems weird that he would lie when Priest is another who comes across as calling a spade a spade in every other context.
I dunno. I know this is an argument that has raged across the internet for generations and I dunno why I’m even posting this post…

Brick didn’t say he believed him, so is your beef that you don’t even think he wrote it?

He wrote that he used it once and that he believes it doesn’t lead to muscle gain, only more water and glycogen storage. You can check out one of the last few issues of MD. You have a problem with something HE actually wrote, NOT I - pretty funny.
You also had a problem when Frank McGrath said he would compete in the NY Pro in a recent issue of Flex. No, he didn’t compete in it, but he did write, or someone else wrote for him, that he would. Again, a problem with something someone else wrote, NOT I.
By the way, I’m not the slightest bit intimidated by you and your tyrannical ways, particularly when you read things that clash with your belief system, even when they’re facts, and you become bitchy.
Suitable avatar.

Yes people can be more responsive also they can get less negative side affects at certain dosages. Pros most likely have both. Allowing them to use large amounts of gear reap a lot of reward all while not getting the sides that some get. Though the amount of health and perscription mess many use to function is baffling

Agreed! I am far more responsive it seems than both my training partners at lower dosages.

I think its perfectly believable, just by doing circuits Yates became the strongest guy in prison. People underestimate what a ridiculous advantage the top guys genetics give them…
