No, I have a question for you. What do you do for a living? Where do you work? What state do you live in? Could we see a picture of you?

Clearly, someone who wants so much info on someone else will have no problem at all with any of these requests.

That’s what I thought. I’m a scientist at Raytheon working out of Lima, Ohio. Look at my avatar. Your turn. Or are you scared?

One more thing, no one can tell what you look like from your avatar. You just look like a fat kid. There are thousands of you out there. Post a clearer pic so we can know which fat kid you are.

I knew it. You’re trying to pull a Fokker. Your profile says you weigh 270lbs. You aren’t going to lug 270 lbs 2 miles in less than 16:00. That right there tells me you are in the reserves. Well if you are a doctor in the reserves you should be a doctor when not drilling, right? But you only mention the fact that you are a doctor when you mention the military. Who would waste a doctorate to be a doctor in the military (military pay!) and not be a doctor on the outside? Fat chance. Fokken nurse. Probably Fort Sam Houston, right? Ha
Did you really just question every doctor who is in the military? Why would someone “waste” their training on the military? There are doctors in this clinic who have built their lives around helping people. When they perform a procedure, it is more out of need and desire to help than dollar signs, yet you just called all their effort and mine “a waste”. You aren’t even worth this response. You’re a bitch…some little fat kid with a keyboard who thinks he’s funny. You aren’t. Many people here who have asked me privately already know what I do. Some who are in the military who have asked even know what service I’m in or what base. I’m not a nurse, kid, even though I have much respect for those in those positions as well. People call me “doctor” because I am one. I went to school for it and continued seeing things that most would never see outside in practice through the military.

If you had any sense at all you would understand why an officer in the military would not run around giving all vital info on a public message board where my profile has been viewed by over 1,000 people that I don’t know. You’ve shown what you’re about here. My guess is, you get even less respect when away from the computer. “Do you want fries with that” has claimed another victim, huh?

Wouldn’t a military nurse have to run the same as a military doctor? I cannot follow your logic at all if you are trying to prove a 270 doctor cannot run 2 miles in 16 minutes therefore he must be a nurse.

Perhaps the miltary helped him get his education and that is why he is in the military and drawing miltary pay instead of making serious money in private practice.

I have not met Professor X. We often disagree on political issues so I cannot be accused of being his crony, but I usually agree with the training advice he gives even if he gives it in a way I would not.

I believe he is exactly what he claims to be.

Your doubts and questions make you look silly.
My point was if he was a doctor and working in the reserves, why wouldn’t he also have a practice outside of the 2 weeks of drill they put in every year. If you have never been in the military you probably won’t get it (apparently).

I didn’t question every doctor in the military. I simply asked if you were in the reserves wouldn’t you have a practice when not drilling. Drill for the reserves is 1 weekend a month and (1) 2 week drill every year. Now, if you earned a doctorate, wouldn’t you want to be a doctor the other 50 weeks out of the year?

Another thing, as I already stated, I work at Raytheon in Lima, Ohio. I got out of the Army in January 2004. I served and saw action in Iraq. I’m not a kid. I obviously have knowledge of the military and can sense when someone is trying to blow smoke up my ass. Bitch.

You obviously have knowledge of the military? Every thing you’ve written would show otherwise, you ridiculous piece of shit. No one actually in the military would say that doctors who work in it are wasting their doctorates. You are full of shit and it shows.

Wait a second, you doubt that ProfX could run 2 miles in 16 minutes, but you were in active duty, so apparently your fat ass can?

Give me a break, I’m 270 and can run 2 miles in less than 13 minutes. I doubt you can cover a mile in less than 10, if your incredibly flattering headshot is any indication of the rest of your ‘physique’.

I’ll believe a word you say as soon as you show some actual evidence of the fact that;

 1. You’re intelligent, as a “scientist” would be

 2. You actually have some sort of military history

I welcome you to prove me wrong, I don’t mind being wrong about people.

I do, however, mind people laying big piles of written bullshit around here…

I never said that doctors who work in the military are wasting their time. Never. Not once. I said that it wouldn’t make sense for someone to be a doctor in the reserve and not be a doctor when he or she is not drilling. Don’t try to deflect my points by misstating what I said. Read it again and again if you have to. Fokker.

For those who have ears, let them hear.

Leo Ingram is military and weighs 285lbs in the off season. According to doofus here, this is impossible.

mutha,

i am “just” a nurse, and work in a level one trauma center in an urban war zone. i have a bachelors degree, and hold national certifications in critical care, trauma, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support. i can manage a patient on a intra-aortic balloon pump, a left ventricular assist device, i can run a dialysis machine, i can go on.

though i am just a nurse, i have more knowledge of trauma and critical care medicine than the vast majority of doctors practicing.

just fyi…from us fokkers.

i used to know some super-heavyweight PL who were in the airforce. the lifted for the airforce “team”. apparently, it was their “job” in the military.

Kevin Sperling, Navy weighs over 250lbs when not competing in NPC. Once again, apparently none of these people exist.

Ooooh, nice one BRONIUS. Maybe next you should ask him what the hell he knows about being black…

Incidentally, since this thread isn’t on topic any longer, -

I really don’t beleive that people with PhD. should be called doctor, unless they are one. Let me explain. When I think doctor, I think “medicine man” Like professer X. There are a lot of people at colleges and in the professional world that are “doctors” but not “medicine men”. I really think that the blatant rapage of the word doctor needs to stop.

People don’t call people with a bachelors degree Bachelor Bill, and they don’t call people with masters degree’s Master tom. Do you get my point? What happens if someone gets hurt on the subway, and somebody starts yelling for a doctor. Then some little educated punk walks up, and says “I’m a doctor, but I don’t know jack shit about helping people” I know it sounds very weird, but I really hate the fact that people can’t seem to reserve the word doctor for real practitioners of medicine.

The word “doctor” means “teacher” in Latin and has been used for academics longer than for physicians.

Have an article:

So therefore, if a person only has a bachelor’s degree, but say they teach elementary ed, they should be referred to as doctor. Thank you, I am being serious not sarcastic. I will reserve the title of doctor for teachers and Medicine men only then.

“double bachelor bill”-my point isn’t the fear that some educated idiot will jump in and try to save a life because of the doctor title, my point is that Mr or Ms or Mrs works just as well for educated people, and Doctor is something that should be reserved as a title of respect for medical practitioners.

I LOOOOVVVEEE refering to Pre-med majors as “sawbones”.
assuming I succesfully complete a MSc. in computing science. being called “master tom”, as it is my first name, would be pretty sweet. =]

No, I’d doubt you were any kind of leader, probably an embittered E-4 who likes to attack leaders because of an inferiority complex he has developed by being subordinate; couldn’t ever get himself to the promotion board because his NCOs rightly saw what a piece of shit he was and has been bitter ever since.

What sort of job did you have that allowed you to become a scientist with Raytheon?

Please enlighten the rest of us assclown…scientist, more like “military-liason” who slid into a cushy job due to some contacts he made while in. Enjoy giving the daily tours of the plant? Fucking lush.

You’re probably the kind of guy who shoveled his fellow troops a bunch of bullshit about his service record. Yeah, got that me that ARCOm with a V device while in action…only action you’ve seen is the time you were sucking your COs cock and he shot a load right down your throat.

That’s not correct… first of all, besides the US no country actually calls it ‘olympic lifting’… in all european countries it’s called weightlifting (in one word) or halterophilie (in french).

The real ‘definitions’ are:

Bodybuilding: training to improve aesthetics or muscle size

Bodybuilding competition: maximizing muscle size, definition and shape for competitive purposes

Weightlifting: the strength sport where the snatch and clean & jerk are the competed (or trained) lifts

Olympic weightlifting: North American name for competitive weightlifting

Weight lifting (in two words): the ‘hobby’ of training using resistance apparatus (free weights, machines, cables, etc.) without any competitive or performance objectives

Weight training: another expression for ‘weight lifting’

Powerlifting: strength sport in which the squat, bench press and deadlift are the competed lifts

Powerbuilding: a type of training where gaining size and strength are equally important
I thought about going there myself but I figured who is going to listen to a regular joe. Glad a named joe stepped in for those definitions.
