Starting this log to outsource my battered log book and hopefully make some internet friends to share my struggles with.
My current stats:
Single Ply Comp (July 21) @93kg
Squat 250kg
Bench 150kg
Deadlift 200kg
Single Ply Gym Lifts @93-95kg
Squat 260kg (June 21)
Bench 200kg (March 22)
Deadlift 260kg (December 20)
Currently prepping for a bench only competition June 22 @105kg - (first time in this weight class). Main goals of this comp is to hit the qualifying total for nationals (185kg for me) and press 200kg+ in comp.
I’ll outline sessions as I move forwards… Currently not squatting and deadlifting while prepping for the bench only meet. Ill get back to this at a later stage but really fell out of love with them having had a significant hand injury in September 21.

So tonight’s session… my standard Thursday night extra upper session.
Close Grip Incline 80x9 70x10
JM Incline Smith Machine +15 each side x6 x4
Rolling DB exts 15kgsx15 x4
Seal Row 60kg x8 x3
Tricep Pushdowns straight bar 6 pins x25 x4
Lat Pulldowns wide +10kg x15,10,10
Hammer DB Curls 12.5kgsx8 x4
This sessions usually my middle session between raw and equipped bench so I focus on strengthening triceps and keeping everything else healthy. Tonight was week one and therefore things were pretty conservative so should ramp up over time.
More volume in the session this block and less shoulders, we’ll see how it affects the important stuff on Saturday.

Went down really well, the equipped stuff was a little hit and miss. Managed the warm ups well however didn’t manage to touch 170 which is something I’d normally expect- I’m assured by training partners that the last one was close however need to keep working on this and my line moving forwards.
The raw and ram stuff before was smooth sailing and both PBs from last go.

Next week hoping for 180x3 this session and the 190x3 to end the block before another 200 touch.

Use this session as an easy back workout which seems to help my bottom position on equipped bench and accelerate my recovery from the weekends antics!
Triceps are very sore after Saturday however should have eased enough to raw bench tomorrow!
