Prefer a Busy Gym or Empty Gym?

which would you rather train in:
A gym with no one in it no energy, no one to look over get that extra push.

Or a crowded ass 24 hour fitness, with at least some hot bunnies doing leg spreads im mean press.

My gym sold out to LA fitness and everyone left there is nothing but geriatric, man boobers on the elipticals and super 135 benchers now.

the only other gym is an over crowded 24hr.

My gym happens to be one of the empty ones. Usually the only people there are people old enough to be my great-grandparents. They all walk on the treadmills and lift the pink dumbbells.

Sometimes there will be some actual lifters there, but only 1 or 2 actually squat and deadlift.

Depends on who the other people are. I love training my schools weight room when athletes are in there. Great vibe, better music.

I can do without the frat boys. But I do like it when some other people are in there. At least there’s someone to ask to spot me.

I prefer a gym full of gym rats with muscles on top of muscles. I hate those that go to the gym just to hudle up and talk about others and ain’t doing shit.

Empty, and mines REALLY empty this time of year.

I’ll take the empty gym anyday. Unless I’m going heavy on bench and need a spot!

Yeah, having a few guys to spot you and few bunnies for motivation is great… right up to the point where they start getting in the way. That’s why I skip lunch and do the gym at either 10am or 2pm.

Empty anyday!

just me and my brother (training partner)and an empty gym!

I train in my yard, under a tree. The other day a flock of several hundred starlings roosted in there. They didn’t make a peep, they just shit constantly. I thought it was just water dripping off the leaves from a recent rain, then I looked down and my shirt and arms were covered in florescent purple splotches. Still finished my workout though.

Moral of the story, I prefer an empty gym.

Empty…I don’t need to look at others to get motivated. Either I have it that day, or I don’t. I find a crowded gym just makes it tougher to use the equipment I want.

Like sometimes all I wanna do is just push out some massive leg extensions, but some goofball is taking it up. Or maybe I wanna use the vadge machine that chicks are always hogging…

Yeah, definitely empty.

I already workout by myself. Occasionally a sports team will come in to “lift”, but that becomes more distracting. It is nice to have a spotter at a moments notice.

Empty or with a few others who are serious…mainly so I can get a spot when needed.

Empty, no scrotes who take up all the benches and spend their time eyeballing everyone, and preferrably without a “songs to come out to” megamix on the radio, as my local “fitness centre” insists on playing.

Empty. I bring my own energy to the gym.

Though, I will admit that whenever I see someone bigger or stronger than me at the gym (on the occasion it IS crowded), it gives me a push and reinforces my determination to be the biggest and strongest in there.

Get a rifle and incorporate some target practice on the fly.

Let me know when that comes out on CD.

Empty is better. No one to get in the way or stare at you.

Get one of these. It’s a Gamo Shadow. I have one and it’s just as good as a .22 rifle.
