Precision Nutrition and 3915 KCal/day

Hi!

I am trying to follow the advices given by Mr. Berardi by following the principle of Precision Nutrition and 7 habits.
What I need to do:
1 - eat 3915 KCal/day (massive eating calculator)
2 - organize my meals 30% carbs, 40% prot , 30% fat (moderate insulin tolerance)
3 - 3 meals fat plus prot and 3 meals carbs plus prot(moderate insulin tolerance)
4 - No carbs other than vegetables and fruits (with less fructose) before workout
5 - No fructose other than in the morning

How Can I still manage to eat 3915 KCal/day following these principles ?
OK, I have to eat over 600 Kcal meals 6 times a day but by following the rule :

  • Protein plus carbs meals (minimal fat - <5g)
  • Protein plus fat meals (minimal carbs- <10g)

I cannot get my meals over 500 without using huge quantities that throw the 30 40 30 balance away and using a lot of olive oil to get the calories up.

Did I misunderstood something ?

Thanks in advance

You seem to be applying general guidelines in a strict manner, which is a recipe for failure.

Thanks but your answer does not help me. I am not that strict but I am trying. If this won’t work I will adapt the diet.

Eat more meals?

Im guessing your P+F meals are fairly high calorie because you’re allowed fat, but P+C is where the problem is because of the lack of calories… so just divide it between more meals

First off, don’t get hung up on the actual number of grams or fat or carbs in a meal. The idea is to keep high-fat meals lower in carbs and high-carb meals lower in fat. There is no magic with limiting carbs or fats to a certain number of grams per meal.

Also, there’s no point in getting hung up on following 30 40 30 marconutrient ratio. Your actual ratio should change as your energy requirements go up and down since protein intake is normally help fairly constant, while fat and carb intake are adjusted to meet energy requirements.

@HK24719 : Thanks for your answer more helpfull this time
@EGYnutrition : more meals is a good idea

I will try to eat 3915 KCal progressively because is just too much for me now considering my muscle size.

I think I have read what he has written on T-Nation and on his website but perhaps I missed something. Perhaps also, I didn’t understand completly because I am a beginner and I am not that fluent in english. If more research is needed can you point me toward the articles that I missed ?

Every article he has ever written is on his website.

He never recommended no carbs other than veggies and fruits; he prescribes carbs earlier in the day and post workout.

And he doesn’t always prescribe PF and PC meals; sometimes he recommends mix meals.

Thanks for your answers. I will take a look in the cookbooks I can get my hand on. Just one detail. For those like me that train late (train and go to sleep no time to eat a whole meal) how does the recommendation about carbs earlier in the day and post workout applies ?

Ok Thanks for your answer MODOK
