just wondering for anybody here that knows, what are the standard amounts of weight generally regarded as the minimum for someone(roughly the 70,75-ishKg mark) hoping to enter a comp.
I don’t think I’m anywhere near where I need to be, but if I have numbers it’s something to strive for.

135 squat/135 bench/135 deadlift

Somebody asked this question to Dave Tate (I think) and he’s been quoted as replying something like as soon as you can squat 135 (lbs), bench 135 and deadlift 135, you’re ready to compete. Basically just saying, it doesn’t matter how much you lift just do it.

Thanks for clearing up. I thought you were just being sarcastic. Ya i think I will have a think about competing. I will first start recording all my lifts to check my form, and ensure I’m going to the proper depth, etc.
