Way to go on the 405 squats.
They’re a good skill for going/being in Sturgis. I had a big Harley with custom pipes no less, but never went. Wife would have likely divorced me for it. Best Sturgis story I heard involved a nurse really putting on a show at I think the Chip. No inhibitions there.
Far more important to keep the wife happy. Your right about the lack of inhibition on the stage. When I went it was an open field at the end of a dirt trail with a big stage and big beer tents. It was dark, but I think I had the only car there that night. When I came back to my car people were using it for concealment. They had a blanket spread out along side of my car and were all shooting up.
Good Sturgis story. You’ve probably got a lot of them.
My good friend who rode there from Louisiana was in hard rain for last 30 miles amid the riders who were about 4 across in the double lanes; he overnighted in a resident’s yard, still raining. Years later we both rode to western Colorado one fall, survived incredible rain at 80 mph on interstate, and rode in 3" snow across continental divide. Before the snow ride he cut his face badly when his bike overturned and a plastic surgeon fixed him up. I described the trip to wife but omitted those details. All the trips I made produced some great memories.

Bad day for pressing and I have no excuses.
On the up side I did take my bike to the gym like I have wanted to do since I got it.
I took it in for a tuneup and WOW what a difference. This bike is now officially fun to drive. Although all that torque and a fat street tire gives driving on gravel a certain pucker factor.

Looks like a souped up Harley. What’s the model?
It’s a 2008 Honda VTX 1800f. When it came out it was the largest V twin motor ever put in a motorcycle.
The cylinders were in right place, and saddlebags too make it look like a big Harley. You’ll have a lot of fun on that and likely less mechanical headaches than with a Harley.
A Wisconsin friend hit an oil slick at about 55/60 mph with no traffic around. Bike overturned and he slid over l00 feet on elbows; destroyed his leather jacket but his skin was intact. Anyone I see riding jacketless reminds me of that story. Road rash depreciates machoness. You need a good, protective jacket.
Muscle needs skin coverage for best results in gym.

Feeling beat down after pretending to be a lumberjack these last couple of days.
Lumberjacking will do that.
I’ve read that cutting/chopping wood can double a guy’s testosterone. Notice any difference?
I can see that. I was too exhausted to notice much. When I came inside at the end of the day, I laid down on the floor because I didn’t want to sweat on the furniture. I almost fell asleep there. It speaks to my physical condition and not the amount of work that got done.

This gym has 2 benches side by side.One was empty and the other had 260 loaded on the bar. I was putting on my wrist wraps when a tall skinny guy sits on the bench. I thought he was going to try and bench it. Instead he pulled out his cellphone and starts texting then turns to the guy wearing wrist wraps standing beside the bench and asks if he is using that bench. I see my fair share of stupid things in the gym, but damn.
There was a total of 3 people in my entire gym today, but when I arrived the only dedicated place to barbell bench was being taken by an older guy doing some weird hip thrust with a stick where he then lifts the bar to his chest. He was there for about 20mins. I was too polite to ask him why he wasn’t doing it on one of the 6 other benches that isn’t attached to a rack, or one of the dozen boxes that are the same height.
No problem with him doing whatever it was he was doing, maybe it’s a rehab thing I don’t know about. Good on him! A bit of common sense though?
One of my worst traits has always been how unintentionally aloof I can be at times, but I don’t think even I am capable of some of the things I see.
