Power*Balance- Performance Technology

I searched and didn’t see anything right away so hopefully this is new to you. It’s a relatively new product (to my knowledge). Anyway…

At Scheel’s this afternoon I came across this silicone bracelet product and was trying to figure out what it was and an associate introduced it to me and did the strength test that is done in the video. The little I know about it is that it’s a silicone band/bracelet with a hologram that contains a frequency that reacts positively with the body’s natural energy field to improve balance, strength, and flexibility.

To say the least it was nuts, very cool and I’m typically not sold easily on something like this but I can’t argue given I was the subject of the test.

I couldn’t help to think that something like this that improves core strength and balance etc. would be beneficial in the gym, which is why I chose to share it with the rest of you. (First example that came to mind would be a single arm dumbbell bench and exercises alike) I’ve worked out already today but am very anxious to see how it might aid and benefit tomorrow’s lift. Anyone who has one and been to the gym with it let us know what you’ve experienced and I’ll certainly follow up after my workout. Thoughts, comments, skepticism?

You have got to be effin kidding me. I have a bracelet that will grow your penis 4 inches as long as its in the same city as you. Only $100. Get it now before it sells out. If you act now I’ll give you 2 bracelets for $100, thats 8 inches for only a hundy

I’ve got some crystals I can sell you that will grant you invincibilty. Or was it invisibility? Fuck it they do both and they only cost $5.

Very predictable…two [sirs], for lack of better words and because I’m respectful of my elders though I question why sometimes this being one of them, have likely never heard of the product or had the opportunity to put one on run their mouths about their 4 inch penis and meth crystals. A sincere thanks but no thanks, I’ll do without your 4 inches and drugs. As for a product that exists, put one on and do the balance test before you run your mouth and challenge the saying: the older you get the wiser you get. I’m going to make a bold prediction and guess that neither of you looked at the products website. Many athletes wear and are fond of the effects of the bracelet. Yes yes, I understand endorsement and advertising but why so many of them. And I assure you that it will gain popularity because when people put it on…it does what they say it does.

This time a sincere but non-sarcastic thank you for both your time and intellect (ok so I lied about not being sarcastic). Enjoy your evenings.

There are better, cheaper ways to improve balance.

Like squatting on a bosu ball.

Easy bud, were just taking a poke at you in good fun. The reason this works is the same reason many useless supps work, the placebo effect. Youre thinking it works and thereby trying harder to maintain your balance whether you want to believe it or not. You can’t honestly believe this is some kind of miracle do you? I mean if it were so unbelievalby effective, would more people not buy this product and would it not be more recognizable.

LMAO, I just read the “How it works” and I’m at a loss for words. This is just another one of those marketing strategies where they try to be scientific and throw around cool words in an attempt to make people think “Well gee that sounds awfully advanced, how can it NOT work?”.

I hit a new PR single leg bosu ball kettlebell overhead press throw with a double twist just watching that.

I can’t wait for mine to arrive. It should get here really fast via the power the fedex truck will gain with that thing in it.

HOW IT WORKS:

This stuff makes absoluteley no sense. What the fuck are “holograms embedded with frequencies that react positively with your bodyâ??s natural energy field”? And why are there people that spend money on BS that makes no sense and is not backed up by science?

cally- my apologies, [calmly and collectively] I’ve been made aware that this product is quite new and was first developed and made popular in california for surfers, wake boarders, etc. because of the whole balance thing and it is gaining popularity not just by the athletes that “endorse” it but the general public.

You’ve simply not heard of it or had an unbiased approach or put one on for that matter so I understand why your skeptically outspoken. Even if it’s just in spite of curiosity or to in fact prove everyone including the makers wrong, just go to your nearest sporting goods store and just once, just once try it out.

hitter- c’mon man…be original. It was done already and in a funnier and more entertaining fashion that what you have attempted. And your elder than even my elders that already poked fun. Provide some wisdom that comes with your age or just GTFO.

pain- let’s first understand that I don’t know you, you may be a very intelligent, bright minded individual with all sorts of science background (bio, chem, physics, you name it you got it) however, for the general public adding the science to back it up on their website would only further confuse and lead people to ask “what the fuck are they talking about”.

If you contacted a rep I’m certain they would love to scientifically explain the reasoning your after. Just take the same approach I mentioned to cally, hell take all the bias into it you want and have…just put one on and let the product speak for itself and afterward if you’re still curious make that call!

I don’t usually let trolls get to me, but your gay trollish sales pitches are really pissing me off I don’t know why. Congratulations on a successful troll job.

Wisdom may be a little difficult to in stow into anyone who would believe this late night infomercial rhetoric.

There are great testimonials on that site, both of them. A high school baseball player? Really? But it’s in a magazine it must be true. The World Series of poker? Thank god no one lost their balance lifting those heavy cards.

I don’t believe that organic tissue and the molecules that make them are that reactive to frequency fields. Thank god because if they were we’d be all kinds of messed up from the natural and man-made frequency fields that pass through us every day. You’d walk past a radio or television station and your body would go crazy if the majority of molecules were

That said, these bracelets seem to “work” for some folks in the same way a placebo pill will. It is simply psychosomatic. The brain and its control of hormones is amazing and can have some amazing effects on how one feels. I agree that when people wear these, some of them will see benefits due to their belief in their effectiveness and thus a subconscious change in brain chemistry.

Whatever, I don’t really care. Just wasting time. Sorry that you got your panties in a bunch.

Lu- I do not sell nor do I care about the sale of this product. And no one gives a damn about your personal feelings on here just the same as no one gave a damn to approach my curiosity, regarding whether or not anyone else had had the chance to come across this product, with any decency. As for a troll job…bold prediction but I’m uncertain as to how this could and might even classify as a troll job.

Be it a placebo effect or not users see a difference. With that in mind the whole reason I brought it to the users of this site’s attention was because of the potential benefits it could have with said exercises that require increased balance and core stabilization. So no, the assumption that this is a troll job encourages me to tell you to quit making assumptions all together.

Say it did work. Wouldn’t wearing it for this purpose defeat the reason for doing said exercises?

Fixed.

duffy duffy…good, yes we’ve established that athletes (not actors) endorse and provide their testimonials for this product. However there is a general public who pay, not get paid, to use and wear the wristband as well. So for this general public who do use and experience differences makes the fact that you point out that athletes are potentially paid to tell these consumers it works a worthless point. Sorry you fixed nothing instead you BROKE hitter’s sentence in your attempt to fix it.

HA! i actually came across this today in the workplace and I wanted to see if any Tnationers were talking about it , its an old post but anyway…

a lady at my work came up to me today and told me to push her over, so well, i pushed her over, then she was all like now watch this, and put on her crazy hologram bracelet and told me to push her over again, and well i pushed her over AGAIN.

she chalked it up to me being stronger than her and thats why i was able to push her over also saying that most normal people wouldnt be able to push someone over when wearing the balance band!

its CRAP!

That test reminds me of CT’s perfect rep in that the CNS primes the body to make the second rep easier than the first.

Bend over and touch your toes stretching as far as you can. Now stand up for five seconds and do it again. I bet you reached farther second try.

You owe me $29.95 plus shipping.

quite an interesting article related to this …
