I’m not making as much in private practice as I was working in the hospitals outpatient clinic because of the loss of benefits, but I love coming here so much. I walk through the door and feel happy and relaxed.

Nice. I’m a fan of Lochinvar, although I have limited experience with their wall hung units. The fire tube freestanding boilers are about as close to perfect as a technician could ask for.

I figured! They’re outstanding.

I’m not in Buffalo but have done a bit of work out your way. What a small world.

Lochinvar makes a great boiler. For water applications that is our go to. The Knight wall hung units are just as good as the FTX series boilers.

Does that make it difficult to lift?

Hook grip? Yeah. I dont pull with hook these days, so mixed grip is usually fine with the long nails. Squatting also not difficult since the hand placement isnt so focused like that of pulling with deadlifts for example. Same with bench. The pressure is mostly towards the palms/center of my hands, versus the tips or middle of my fingers.

Some years ago when i moved heavier weights I’d keep them shorter, but nowadays i dont move nearly as heavy of weights. The key is to adjust hand placement. Wherever the barbell is you’d want the tips/pads of your fingers to be where the pressure is. The moment it starts getting put on the nails, is where the problems arise. I’ve grown my nails for a lomg time so its not too much of a hassle to adjust and still focus on lifting.

The REAL struggle is picking the plates off the ground, picking up dropped change, and getting my card out of the gas station chip reader lol

I noticed the ring - have you remarried? (Am I remembering correctly that you’d divorced last time you popped in for a bit?)

If so, and I’m not misremembering, congrats!

You are correct my friend!!

Finished product. My gripes with the new tank is the 1/2" make up tapping was welded on crooked from the factory… And it shipped about 3 months late.

Overall a really great product, and even less expensive than the steel vent-rite counterparts. Once that boiler feed fails we could likely use the vac pump as a boiler feed since the holding capacity significantly increased with the new tank.
