I have this thought that my cause of death will likely be something fairly preventable, but itāll get me because I refuse to go to the doctor. I hate going to the doctor.

I am going to make an effort to go to the doctor for a check up. Probably been at least 5 years.
Not disagreeing with a take on music, just wanted to comment about a member of Metallica (fellow thrash metal band).
Lars gets a ton of hate. Drummers love to talk trash on his drumming. Iāve heard countless drummers say they are better than Lars, and I just think it must be nice being so delusional. Lars has countless iconic drum parts. The triplet double bass part in One was why I wanted to play drums. None of these drummers have ever written anything close to that good.
Itās like they are only looking at technique / speed, and completely missing the writing / musicianship (which IMO has far more value). He isnāt the best out there for certain, but he is pretty good (especially in writing drum parts). These drummers think they are better because they can hit a higher BPM on the double pedal, while their drum parts kinda suck and sound over played.

Honestly I think he is one of the better musicians in the band.
Kirk Hammet gets a ton of credit but I think he is not even close to a top tier guitar player.
Hetfields lyrics are classic and the original bass player was incredible.
Plus, they kicked out Dave Mustaine who I believe is a better artist overall (at least after he got sober).
Note: Metallica is obviously great as a whole.

IDK if non-drummers have much exposure to the Lars hate, but itās a real. He is probably the most hated on drummer out there.
