Post Your 2012 Goals

2011 isn’t done yet - I still have a couple of days to hit 315 on my deads.

I’m sure I just jinxed myself. lol

Ima get a sex change so I can start a log in PW.

You will all suffer then

I spent a lot of years running/ working on endurance.

Last year was me working on strength goals and building a foundation.

This year I’m focusing on flexibility. Ballet for four hours per week starting January 10th! I’ve got my splits back already! I just want to do OK, and not feel like a big looser on this one!

I’d like to keep my level of cardio vascular fitness - No land speed records, but be able to run 5 miles at 8 minute miles.

Work on body composition goals. I had to put my plans to cut aside for the holidays, cause I’m not the kind of person who can bake Christmas cookies with the kids and not eat them! I’m weighing 116 this morning. I’m thinking about seeing what 108-110 looks like. I’ve really rounded out my glutes in the last couple of months, not in a “that’s where the Christmas cookies went” way. I got to meet the woman who has won the Master’s bikini at Muscle Beach (Venice) for the last couple of years. She was really inspiring, and soo cool to me. She was so encouraging. I don’t have the nerve to do it, but I’d like to look like I could by summer.

I still want a really nice set of 5 wide grip pullups. Neutral grip is still so much easier. I think I’m all biceps and forearms on those.

BW bench. I think I’m getting close.

I’m still at 185 with my Trap DLs and that was before my surgery. Hitting 200 would be great.

Squat - Maybe after ballet I need to get a coach, because this is still my nemesis.

This was posted by somebody last year (?) at this time, and I thought it was so good it required a come back. So, to all the Powerful Women, I salute you…for hunting down your PRs, chasing after your dreams, and for being an inspiration to those in your life, day in, day out—regardless of the flipping of a calendar year.

This is why

Why is being in super, super woman shape so precious to me. Because it shows my independence. I didn’t buy it, I didn’t inherit it, I didn’t steal it, I just worked to be in it.

I could have all the money in the world, all the stuff, all the cars, houses, yachts, mansions, properties, still I would still be a soft, out of shape chick unless I busted by butt day in and day out. The strongest status symbol is a super tight and lean body. It has no price tag. You cannot get a good deal on it. It’s never on sale or goes out of style. You invest in it, take care of it, nurture it and it’s yours and yours only.

Nobody can take it away from you. You own it, you deserved it because you worked for it. You and nobody else.

I was the one who trained year after year to reach my goals years later. It was a long term investment. I paid my dues, I did my time.

You can buy yourself everything for money except for true love, true happiness and a perfect tight toned body.

You can soothe misery with money, you cannot mask being out of shape with money.

My body makes a statement. I am a strong, powerful, focused and determined woman. I stand up for what I believe in, I go where I want to go not where I am supposed to go. I did not create what I am for pleasing someone else, I did it to please myself.

The body is a true sign on inner strength and power. The more you can control your environment without feeling a need to do it, the stronger you are mentally. A strong mind in a strong body. It’s the most attractive compilation you can achieve. Attractive to yourself, attractive to both those who don’t have it as well as those who do.

Power to those who want to be strong. inside out.

All right 2012, this is what we will do together this year.

Bench
current max 155lbs
goal 160lbs - current bodyweight.

  • planning on using “blocks” and or mini bands to get used to handling heavier weights with partial reps. I only added 5lbs to my max this year and I need a way to wrap my brain around the weights.

Squat
current max 225lbs for a double
goal 1.5 BW or 240lbs

I had a great year with my squat added a beautiful 75lbs to my max. Anything more on my 4 plates is gravy.

Deads
current max 305lbs
goal 315lbs. I just want that 315. I’ve been wanting it for years. To make this more challenging I want to be repping it Brute style by the end of 2012.

So it was written. So shall it be.

My goals:
