Post w/o Meal High GI Confusion

How high does the GI have to be with the carb you eat with your protien post w/o. I like to eat cereal with my whey but if the carb has whole grain in it and lots of sugar will that not work as fast as downing a Tbsp of sugar with your Whey?
Should i avoid Whhole grain all together even if its whole grain bread with enriched flour added.

i want to enjoy my High GI carb but i dont want to just throw in some sugar with my whey shake…does honey work as a fast carb too?

Table sugar and Honey have fructose which gets metabolized in the liver. This slows down the process. Although some studies show that a small amount of fructose may be beneficial PWO, I wouldn’t be dumping table sugar (sucrose) into my PWO shake. It sounds like you’re over thinking things. Eat some low fiber carbs with protein PWO. It really all comes down to your total intake at the end of the day.
