I am wondering if the Diet Coke you get from post-mix (the tapped variety at bars, from fast food dispensers etc.) has a different macro breakdown to regular Diet Coke? As far as I’m aware it is just Diet Coke mixed with soda to water it down, but I’m not too sure about this? Surely it would be illegal to be throwing in lots of sugar and selling it as Diet Coke? Anyway, since I drink a fair bit of it when I’m at work in the bar, I’d be interested to know if it is any different to regular Diet Coke!!! I’ll be quite annoyed if its full of sugar Cheers for the help.
Just bumping this one up a bit.
Burva, Just go into the back of your bar and check the “syrup bags”. If the bag is from Coca-Cola Company and says “Diet Coke”, it’s just a concetrated version of the same stuff that’s in the cans. I don’t think it’s legal to sell something that says “sugar free” when it’s got sugar in it. FDA regulations? I’m not positiv though.
Besides, Water, Water, Water and a little H2O for variety! 86 the diet sodas.
Either way, it still tastes like shit.
