I read somewhere, not TOOOO LONG ago that vitamins, if taken immediately post workout, would negate the benefits of excersise in relation to free radicals.

But this is stuff i’ve read in the last few months and failed to save links etc so youll have to take my world for it.

These studies show about the same thing about endurance:

So if skipping carbs Post workout id a good thing, how about fat post workout? It seems as if carbs use to be ok after a workout but fat should be avoided.

As you probably know from some articles on T-Nation, the immune system is an important factor in muscle growth. This study shows that certain sugars decrease the effectiveness of the immune system for hours after a meal by about half. Some sugars don’t have such a large effect. So it appears, at least for immune response, that it matters what KIND of sugars you eat before and/or after training.

It also appears that saturated fats enhance the immune system, but I could not the study to read it myself. It could be the vitamins A and D in these fats that enhance the immune response. Mary Enig, PhD, and Sally Fallon wrote an article in which this is mentioned. Again it matters what KIND of fats are consumed.

I just bring my shaker to the gym with 50g protein + 40g waxy maize+ BCAA + glutamine. Immediatley after my last lift I fill it up with water and chug
