LOL! I sure am. I don’t want to look like a fool up there. Because there’s a slight possibility I might get nervous, I am doing whatever I can to feel more confident so posing classes are a big help.
Uh, thanks for the comment on my backside…LOL!
And, PolishRifle, I definitely have been told my booty rivals JLo’s…LOL!

Let me know if you need someone to oil you up before you get on stage… Or after for that matter.
I’ve got enough frequent flier miles to be in NY as much as necessary!

Thank you for the compliment. I will be honest, it took me about 3.5 years of persistent training to get my backside like that so be patient because TRUE PERSISTENCE pays off…trust me!

If that isn’t a 10 our of 10 I don’t know what is!

Thanks! I do a lot of stiff-legged dead lifts, but I wanted to incorporate something different such as the glute-ham raise, as well leg curls w/ db between my feet on an ujnstable surface, e.g., bosu

BOSU?!?
Argh ![]()
useless.
If you want to add something go with the GHR (it’s the king of hams exercizes) and superset them with stiff-legged DL.
Or try this triset:
GHR + SL-DL + seated leg curl

Glute Ham Raise. Something I wish my gym had.
A crafty way of doing the GH raise when your gym doesn;t have the set-up is to use the lat-pulldown set-up with the thigh pads instead. In fact, it is very useful for this exercise particularly since you can also use the lat pulldown bar for assistance (by setting up the weight stack) and progression.

Actually, my gym doesn’t even have a GHR, I have someone hold my ankles while I kneel on a pad and keep my arms either in front of my chest or my sides. I lean forward as musch as I can and then use the power from my hamstrings to bring myself back to the starting position.
And, the BOSU leg curls kill…trust me it works. It’s just that most guys are aginst the BOSU, but you gotta try it before you knock it.
BOSU: kill? i have tried it. Heavy SLDL kill. I use up to 130kg for 8reps in SLDL that is “killing” ![]()
You don’t need an unstable platform to improve your harmstring… if you want to put more stress on it try single leg SLDL ![]()
About GHR in my gym i don’t have a machine to do it. I performe it using the latmachine seat and pad. or in the multipower i lock my ankle with the bar ![]()
niiiiice exercize ![]()

The BOSU kills when you lie face down on the blue dome while trying to balance a heavy db between your feet and doing a leg curl. I have done SLDL too and yes, they also kill ![]()
How do you use the lat pull down seat pads to perforn the GHR? I can’t picture it.
This is how -

Thanks for the video link, UkpairehMombooto. I’ve been meaning to ask you since you posted the first message about this technique because I also was having a hard time figuring out what you meant. I’m definitely going to work these into my routines. Thanks again.

I’ll try to describe.
I’m sorry for my poor English…
you have to knell on the lat machine’s seat. Back to the pads.
Then you lock your feet under the pads. and perform the GHR.
To add a bit of “safety” you can place a bench along the seat… for the landing ;)…
