Possible Partially Torn Pec? or Full Torn Pec?


Hello. On the month of April, I was doing 185lb military press and during the last rep, I believe I heard some ripping noise around where my front delt meets the chest. After the incident, I did not feel any pain but felt somewhat uncomfortable. There was no swelling or bruising. I’ve rested for around 2 months now and 2 weeks ago, I started doing some light press exercises such as 95lb bench press. Although I do not feel pain, it feels uncomfortable and tight. Also, today at my gym when I flexed, I found out that my right chest was somewhat deformed (pictured attached).

I went to the doctor couple weeks and he told me that my range of motion was good and that it is probably a strain. However, I believe it might be more than that.

I would love any thoughts on what the injury might be.

P.S. I am having another appointment with my physician and show him the deformity so that I can have a MRI.

Why do you want an MRI?

Looks like you contract harder on your dominant side. No injury here, trust me you would know if you tore your pec.

CroatianRage - i want a MRI to know if i actually tore or partially tore my pec or not. I know MRI is not 100% accurate but it’s better than me trying to self diagnosis myself :confused:
