Believe it or not, getting to 10 days was the hardest part for me. Doesn’t sound like a lot, when we’re talking about getting over a long-term, serious addiction. But on all previous attempts to get clean I’d always fail before then (generally days 3-5).
Once I got to 10 days I still got serious cravings, but I KNEW I would not let myself relapse. In my mind, I’d come too far to quit.
BTW if you’re trying to get clean, be mindful of your thoughts. Fantasizing about porn, even if you’re not physically watching any, keeps you hooked and is just as bad.

Ditto. Been with my wife 20 years. We’re 47 with 3 kids, and we still have sex almost every day. If I didn’t have a business trip early last month we probably would have filled the whole calendar.
When I got home from the joint, after 2.5 yrs, I was on house arrest for about 5 weeks. I went to Blockbuster video to rent some movies since I had been away, and had the time to catch up on some good movies I missed since I was locked up.
I get home, and found a porn DVD in my DVD player which my brother left in the machine while I was away. I clicked play, and I found that I almost went into shock. Since I had not seen any images as the ones I saw, not to mention women who looked even remotely fine (most female guards are so butch you would think they shave), I could not even blink as it played.
My time away, had almost reprogrammed my brain, it was like being a virgin all over again. I found I desired the female form more than I ever thought I did, like when I was a teenager with 24/7 wood.
I quickly said fuck Star Wars and the Sith, I was fixated on Titty Lickers (spin off of the movie City Slickers), made up for lost time.
I think refraining from porn can reboot your brain and your libido, but just like anything else, just saying no is not so easy.
Anyways, my point, if I’m not making it very well, is that we can’t even agree on what pornography is. I find any of the images I posted more stimulating than %99 and 44/100ths of the “porn” out there. Are these images worse - or better - than some bottle-blonde getting fisted?
