Last december i had a crazy work load with little/broken sleep.
Since that i rarely sleep more than 3-4 hours straight(at that moment i started training 5 days weekly on average). First i was waking up at 4am than 3 … 2 … 1 after getting to sleep at 11pm. About 6 weeks ago i bought melatonine 5mg and took 1 before getting in bed. It added about 1 hour before my still too early wake up. I tried 2, i alternated on off no real help.
Falling asleep is not the problem. After about 2 hours up i sleep maybe 2 more hours. Day time i nap 10 to 90 minutes. I am 54, healthy.
Any suggestion/help is more than welcome, thanks!
I ordered Z-12 from Biotest from T-Nation a few months ago, and I’ve been very happy. I take two pills 30 minutes before bed. I sleep through the night and feel good when I wake up. Highly recommended. Melatonin made me feel groggy, whereas Z-12 makes me feel good.
absolutely agree with ProRaven. Z-12 was the friggen best. Most energizing and refreshing sleeps. Ran out a while ago and bought some ‘sleep easy’ pills…fucking suck leprechaun balls. Sometimes I take just some zinc before bed and that helps too.
OP: what time of day do you workout and do you do cardio?

I get great sleep with Z-12 but I’m slow waking up. I also have concerns about dependence. Do you use it every night? Have you tried going off it for awhile within the last few months? I try to keep it to days when I need great sleep or when I can’t calm my mind. I use it 0-2x/wk most weeks and very rarely 3x in one week.
I was doing Z-12 5-6 nights a week and changing the number of pills based on how I felt 1 pill if I was a little tired already, 3 if i wasnt tired but needed to get to sleep. Only went to 4 a few times…a little slow waking up on 4 pills but not a big deal and I’m slow waking up if I dont get enough sleep or good enough sleep so its a good deal to me.
OP get some Zed Juice. Life is not worth living if you dont sleep good. I’m talking about long overdue sound sleep. Also mattress could be an issue. Clean sheets make a difference, I cant get a good sleep on sheets I just sexed on. I get too turned on and always roll onto my erect member at some point.

thanks but you must agree the shred gods have truly abandoned that kid. I would tell him to take up soccer or something. Actually reminds me I have new shit to post in the squat rack curls thread.
" what time of day do you workout and do you do cardio? "
I WO 6 days weekly in the morning, no cardio. I was WO at 6am about 2 months ago i switched to 8am to be regular, the gym opens only at 8 sat n sunday, 9 on holidays.
Thanks all for your inputs. I have no credit card so i will try zinc if it does not work i will look for a way to get Z-12

Here is a quote from my OP

and i can add stable weight since an anormal up or down may show unknown problem. Only 2 months ago i had a doc visit and blood samples, all good.
I just searched for zinc rich foods, oysters are at the top in 3 hours i will buy some.
Last 11 years without a car i use my bicycle 365 days.
Have a nice day !
I take melatonin sometimes and I find that I also feel tired when I wake up. Maybe it means I’m going into REM sleep more often and thus have a greater chance of my alarm waking me up in the middle of a REM cycle, which would make one feel groggy.
