Damn this is a loooooooooooong thread! What is it, 4 months old already? Dayum!
Anyhow, according to Alessi's column, Poliquin's reccomendations are 50 g carbs for post workout nutrition EXCLUSIVELY, on regular days, with 50 additional grams of carbs for breakfast in the middle of the week, and the weekend carb up of 200 g carbs. Poliquin seems to actually reccomend glycerin (you know that thing that isnt exactly a carb, and more of an alcohol- is glycerin an explosive, or did i get it right?) instead of actual carbs with breakfast in the middle of the week.
I had incredible results with this diet when trimming down - from 225 lbs, 16% bf, to 198 lbs 9.5% bf.
Ive been bulking now with CP's since dec. 1st and i put on exactly 9 lbs, some of which im sure is replenished energy reserves and increased water retention. what are your numbers for muscle gains youve made? Cy Wilson and Berardi have made a point U cant possibly gain much muscle on a low carb diet. I agree, however the muscle you gain will likely be much leaner - meaning it wont come with its ol' buddy ol' pal adipose tissue. So, any numbers to see exactly how much muscle gains we're looking at with this diet?
