Well, if all goes well on my medical and psyche I should be starting a police academy in about a month and I am looking into supplements that will help with my performance. I’ve created a list of the supplements that I think may help and why. If you have any helpful suggestions or comments it would be greatly appreciated.
Flameout- to help with inflammation.
Beta 7- to help with endurance on runs and pushups.
BCAA’s- to help maintain muscle mass.
ZMA- to help get to sleep and have a restful sleep.
Surge- for postworkout recovery
Grow!- as my protein source.
Power Drive- to help focus during tests and studying.
I’m also considering HOT-ROX Extreme but I don’t know if that will help much.
I’m excited for you, ParaBellum99!!! That’s cool that you’ve been accepted and will be starting the Police Academy.
The supps you listed are all good for the reasons you mentioned, but I do have to say that out of everything Biotest makes, Spike is my favorite supp. Read up on it and come to your own conclusions.
Along with making sure your supp regimen is dialed in, have you spent some time dialing in your diet, too? Eating correctly will ensure you recover after physical activity and keep you mentally sharp. But since you’re here, I’m sure you know that. (grin)

Get some high quality running shoes. Shin splints are a bitch!
Hey man congrats on being accepted! First thing I would do is ask what type of supps your allowed to bring. Is the academy your going to an overnight thing (i.e. can’t go home till the weekend) or something where your home everynight?
If I were you load up on Flameout and by some whey from here since you get more bank for the buck. Also you can probably forget about Spike or anything with creatine.
Also buy some good running shoes like that other guy said. Good luck and enjoy the upright resting position.
The academy is 4 months long 8 1/2 hours a day five days a week. Nothing overnight and it’s paid training. I haven’t talked to anyone with the department about what I can and can’t use so that remains to be seen. I’m hoping they allow the Beta 7 because in my opinion my 11.05 time for the mile and a half could use some help. Flameout is definetely going to become a staple not only during the academy but in the future as well. I’m also hoping Surge won’t be a problem as it is a protein/carb recovery drink that I think will help tremendously. I’ve yet to see how Power Drive helps with my focus but if it does then I think that will help during 3-4 study sessions and classroom note taking.
I will let everyone know what’s allowed when I don’t even start until next month so who knows when that will be.

You’ll learn quickly that you get treated the way you deserve. You show a Police Officer respect, tell the truth, do what he says and don’t commit crimes against society, He/she will treat you and show you respect.

You must not live in Los Angeles? For the most part, yeah, but that’s about 50% true in L.A. I still get pulled over and questioned for no reason. And for the benefit of the doubt maybe its mistaken identity or simply keeping an eye out, that I’m cool with, eventhough its annoying as hell and at times it feels like harrasment.
But we have some pretty extreme cases of abuse out here. Granted maybe its warrented but to say that all cops are cool is like saying governments are completely honest with its citizens. People are people, some are cool, some are not!
