PLing Program at 16

Hey I’m 16 and I’ve been lifting for 2 years now. Powerlifting was just introduced to me recently like 4 months ago and I’ve been looking for a program to follow anyone have any good ones.
Weight:155
Bench:225
Squat:275
Deadlift:335

Some very popular ones are of course…

  • Madcow
  • “advanced” 5x5
  • 5/3/1
  • Sheiko
  • Smolov

I’ve done all of those and learned a lot using them and of course got stronger.
Google and check out Bas Barbell, Lift Run Bang, Johnny Candito, Dave Tate and the EliteFTS athletes.

Also, a great resource is right here on T-Nation. Check out the articles and definitely browse through the “Training Logs” on these forums.

I’d think very carefully before starting either Sheiko or Smolov programs at this stage. I think 5/3/1 or a 5x5 program might be more suitable at this point in your training. I’ve also been eyeing up Thibs 915 program recently, which might well be worth looking at.

Tim Henriques has this underappreciated routine that’s laid out very simply:

That, plus plenty of food, should get you on track.

lol, A 2 year lifter with decent numbers doing a challenging program. That would just be… ridiculous…
