Haha… I wish.
I honestly don’t give a shit who uses what bathroom. It doesn’t affect me what genitalia I’m peeing next to. This guy’s a creep who should be arrested, regardless of their policy. I guess that makes me “woke?” lol
Most of the reasoning in this thread is pretty misguided IMO. Imagine an establishment installs ramps for paraplegic customers. Then some local kids decide to use it for skateboarding/biking practice and destroy it, and vandalize the building. Then you’re just like “Seeeee!!! This is what happens!! You INVITED this tomfoolery and got what you deserved!”
And the people who always talk about “civilization is falling apart!” Bruh… Worrying about transgenderism or the feminization of men has been around since ancient Greece (maybe they had different labels for it…I’m not here to argue semantics though). Get over yourselves. Really blows my mind how many right leaning or “libertarian” people worry about this shit. Isn’t the whole idea promoting rugged individualism, live and let live, minimal government…all that shit?
Parents care when it comes to the bathrooms their children use.
This may have sounded good in your head but it makes no sense.
You mean like DEI requirements? Or forcing people to use certain words? Or allowing males to compete against, and dominate, females?
I mean, who exactly is calling for the cancellation of whom when it comes to voicing opinions on this?
No one cares what one business decides. The men in women’s bathrooms is coming from the government. There is a big difference between “McDonald’s is letting men use women’s bathrooms,” and, “The government is telling McDonald’s that it has to let men use women’s bathrooms.” Surely, you understand that.
It’s also easy for a man to say he doesn’t care if there are women in the same bathroom he’s using but maybe, a woman might not feel comfortable with a man being in a confined space where she is in a position of vulnerability.
Sounds luxury, my gym has no change rooms, and one toilet that you use at your own health risk. It does have a load of fkn strong people though.
The wife pays for it because she likes the classes, cafe, child care, pretty equipment. So thats family gym time.
I normally go to this dungeon of a place with black walls and rusty equipment with lockers that barely align. Fucking love it.
Which states is it mandated for all businesses?
I think this is great. It opens up exercise to people who dont want to train in a dungeon.
Im actually interested how any biological female members feel about this subject.
This is literally just arguing emotional hypotheticals and what ifs. Show me research that the incidence of sexual assault is up and directly correlated with gender-neutral bathrooms.
And show me the research that a transgender woman is more likely to assault another woman than a cis woman.
Same.
Awful take…
Nice to have a fan…and so well articulated too.
You can’t be so obtuse as to not understand why people have an issue with this degenerate bs ??
I’m happy to discuss but can’t engage with personal attacks. Not my style. Cheers.
Not personal, sir. Apologies for coming across that way.
Eh, I was being overly defensive, my bad. But in that case, no. I honestly don’t understand it. I mean I understand the fear if the hypothetical worst case scenarios end up happening more frequently than baseline, i.e. the probability of a random dude assaulting a woman in the bathroom regardless of their policy. I believe statistics are everything. And unless we see an actual tangible uptick in the things we fear to support the fear, it’s pretty much only in our heads and merely informs our emotional state.
I wonder too if there’s just difference of experiences and exposures that inform our varying perspectives. I live in Chicago and have friends that are gay, bi, trans, etc. Many bars and stores have non gender enforced bathrooms and just…nobody gives af. This situation of the scary man threatening our little girl does not happen frequently enough to bear any statistical significance.
If I’m being obtuse, help me understand what I’m missing. To summarize, I understand the fear, but I don’t think there’s any tangible evidence to support the fear.
Females should not fear having men in their bathrooms. Some men believe they are females, so they must be allowed to use the female bathroom. Because they fear having to use the men’s room? WTF?
