I guess you guys been wondering where I have been.Well in short I sold my 50% of the paint contracting biz and took a offer to work in the oil field for three times the money. A no brainer. Hours are long work is hard and the money is awesome.Great part is they are my training partners and we hit the gym at 5am a few times a week.
So far so good!

Hurt at work today
Happy St. Pats Day to my buds. It’s DL day for me. Poor form but who cares. It’s bacon and eggs. Lead follow or get the fuck out of the way. I benched yesterday so I got the crap out early. I had one of the children ask me why I paused when I was benching. “Isn’t that harder, you could probably do a lot more if you didn’t do it that way”.

In all my years of lifting, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone more determined to DL with a torn callus than you! How you keep going is amazing!!!
I had an ‘out-of-control’ student on the gym bus this week. I asked the driver to return to school ASAP; little did I realize that she went above and beyond…she pulled a manuever that Mario Andretti would have envied but in the process, I lost my balance and was thrown back on a seat then unto the floor. Doc says I bruised my kidney & maybe more.
My girlfriend/guardian angel/wife/significant other refuses to allow me near the garage so I haven’t trained in some time. Maybe I’ll get a reprieve on Monday. Barry, I always welcome your wit and humor and yes, it keeps me going - DON"T STOP!!! I realize Jimmy is busy but he’ll still get in a couple of good solid workouts a week with his new training partners then off to work. HT is healing as we speak!
All-in-all, things will get back to normalcy ASAP>>>>look for new training logs starting Monday - I am going to try something new.

Really I’m very blessed. No broken bones except for fingers. They have all been broken at least once. My right hand ring finger is the worst. This never happens except in the rack. 6 and above my hands can’t take the pull. The children couldn’t believe I taped it up and kept on keeping on.
I’m taking the children next week to the black iron gym in STL. This place is awesome. Squatting tomorrow. Everyone have a great week. I took a pic of my hand, I’ll try to post it this week.

Normally a Squat day; took off to give back/kidney another days’ rest. Doc says tests indicate a badly bruised kidney; being referred to a urologist just to play safe. Will do whatever I think is safe as far as workouts go until either I feel better or Doc says am in no danger of hurting myself.

Hi gang. Only one of the youngsters showed up to go to the black iron joint. Imagine that. My hand is still tender but why be a sissy, be stupid. The knurling on their DL bar is brutal. After scraping off a little new skin I adjusted to Michael Jackson DLing; one glove.
