Picks for UFC 102

I see Todd Duffey got some attention. ATT is deep as hell.
He seems like quite the athlete. Another big HW that will hopefully work his way into the mix. He is pretty young so he’ll probably end up putting on a little more weight if he wants to. Hopefully they get him another fight quick. Be nice to see him against a mid-tier guy like Hardonk or Herring.

Man if you watch the replay of the Maia KO the floor knocked him out.

I think he was heavily rocked on the way down. Maybe the floor finished him off, but the punch did the majority of the damage from what it looked like to me.
Yet another lesson in why you setup your kicks…and don’t throw them a mile away.

Yeah,Duffey is very muscular/vascular for a big guy…I bet he could carry a few more pounds IF it’s in his best interests. He has some long ass arms, too.

He caught people’s attention…but too much for some. Talks of him and Lesnar,Fedor, etc is just plain retarded at this point.

I think it would be wise for Maia to learn to box and not throw kicks or flying knees.

Seriously, knocking out Tim Hague doesn’t make you a championship contender. It’d be like saying Pat Barry was one punch away from a title shot.

Surprised chris leben did as poorly as he did. And it looks like Nogueira is back

Duffee had a good jab.

Did anyone watch Gonzaga vs sacrificial labscherer? Poor guy got the nutshot of a lifetime and a vag-gash on his face for probably < 5k $, I’d be pretty pissed off if I were him.

Haven’t read a lot of these posts but just watched the Couture/Nogueria fight again and gotta say that is one of the best fights I have seen in a while.

The combination of composure and aggression of both fighters was astounding.

Two of the best in the business, no doubt.

Yup, but honestly I think he was just outclassed by Nate in every single aspect other than submissions. It was really a long shot that he’d be able to pull out a victory.

Didn’t get to see it. I was hoping that they would show it since some of the other fights ended so quickly, but alas they didn’t. Sucks to be Labscherer.

And don’t drop your hands as you are throwing them…and always step off/move your head off at an angle to avoid the opponent’s right hand counter.

Did anyone find the one judge’s 30-27 scoring of the Marcus Aurelio fight a tad bewildering?

VItor Belfort is back!!!..i know its nothing to do with this UFC but just stoked about the comeback of the phenom

yep. I don’t have a problem with the outcome, but you have to wonder about that judge.

tell me about it, do you realize point wise that idiot made made Marcus the victor.

But hey UFC is a pro sport, and you can’t have pro sports without someone trying to put a fix in or play favorite.

Oh, and just a small tidbit that doesn’t matter much, but I thougt was cool Nate’s KO, number 6 on ESPN top 10.

Was Vitor ever really here.

I also thought the one judge’s 29-28 scoring of the Randy/Nog fight a bit off as well. Maybe I’m not remembering correctly, but Nog pretty much dominated Randy…at least enough to warrant three 30-27s.
