Each one is unique, and some lack any substance, like the new mustang, it’s a empty shell of a once great car who’s time has passed, it’s like trying to rekindle an old relationship only to realise it won’t work and is best left in the past.
The new corvette (c6) is the first time in a long time that I’m finally Impressed by an American sports car. It’s the car i always knew the USA could make but scratched my head as to why it didn’t. So now it’s here and a viable option. The C5 is a great chioce as well. BMW brings a different feel to the table and is an excellent drivers car, I loved driving them. With cars it’s not just all about HP. It’s the balance, weight, chasis stifness, weight transfer charasteristics, powerband, etc.
On a final note I just want to say why i think American cars like ford suck in generall.
Cheap metals used in construction of body, and meachanics.
Cheap paint quality.
Interior plastics are way cheap and crude.
The engineering is VERY subpar compared to imports but interestingly the Price is in a very similar range. Go figure pay the same or more and get less is the motto of domestics, but they hide it well with glitter and flash. Don’t plan to keep a ford for more then 5 years and expect it to look, drive new.

so i guess you’ve driven the mustang gt from your comments about it being an empty shell for that amount of money. I have not, but i must say the gt looks great, the engine is great, i don’t like the retro dash, and the big steering wheel. Can you tell me of any car in that price class that you think can compete with the Mustang GT, i can think of some.
Also i don’t agree with you on your price quotes: american cars usually are cheapest in their class followed by japanese cars and then german cars. you pay what you get for and if you want the greater technology you need to pay up for it.
Ford and GM need to make cheap cars to counter act their truck sales because of a governmnet rule on fuel economy which states that the averge amount of fuel economy per car sold has to be at a given level so for every truck sold a certain amount of small cheap cars with good fuel economy have to be sold. Now i realize that competing by using price levels does not make good production vehicles but the rest of the american public does not seem to mind.
you have to admit that american cars are usually cheaper to maintain then technology full foreign cars or atleast that’s how it used to be considering now they are pumping more technology into domestic cars. GM and Ford own other car companies like mazda, jaguar, opel, saab so if you want to compare expensive techology filled foreign cars you can look at those.
just for reference, my family owns a nissan sentra and altima, and my girlfriend owns an altima so it’s not like we are anti-foreign. laters pk
