CrewPierce, good luck for you in your tramsformation.
A question: is max strength your main goal for this training phase you are now rather than size (since you are doing mostly low-rep work)?
Hey Sagat, sorry I let your question slip there!
I actually respond really well to lower rep work. I put on my most size before using a Westside training system.
CT calls my program “absolute strength and power” with a macro of “general intensification.” My diet is based around gaining muscle mass though (frequent feedings, good amount of carbs, ect).

Truth,
low reps is only for strength, not size is a stupid myth as far as I am concerned.
If you judge everyone in life by past behavior your going to pass up knowing some good people. Current actions speak louder. None of us are the same people we were 10 years, 10 months or even 10 days ago. Do you have any idea how many extremely succesful people have a past filled with drugs and prison?
Big thanks for posting more than the other guys in the program. Your thread is twice as long as the other guys, giving more updates keeps up all in it with you. Keep it up.

You are more than welcome! Haha thanks for your avatar!
Regarding your workout when it says A1 and A2, it’s not a superset, right? You rest after the squats and after the leg curls, right? If so, about how long do you rest?
Do you warm up for the squats or does the first set of 5 at 155 count as your warmup anyway? Also, did CT tell you at what intensity to do the squats and leg curls(i.e. 5 at 70%, 4 at 80%, etc) or did you just go by feel? Does anyone know if CT has an article regarding this rep\set method?
Keep up the good work. Like others have said, you do seem to be the most motivated and I’m looking forward to seeing the gains you make.

I take about 15-20 BCAA during my training as well, and yes people give me funny looks.
Do you pop 2 or 3 between every set, or do you pop 6 at the beginning, 6 in the middle and 8 at the end?
Keep it up.
I do 5 right when I walk in the door, 5 after each super set, and then the remaining 5 when I finish up my SURGE Workout Fuel, which does taste pretty darn good (I know some people are wondering how it tastes!).

The A1 and A2 are a super set (at least I do it that way…haha). If you look at my workout today, I would do my 5 reps of chins, then run over to the bench and do my 5 reps of speed bench. I would then rest 150 seconds (using a stop watch to time myself) before hitting the chins again.
I warm up a TON for squats! As you can see my weights kept going up so it looks like I actually needed to warm up more. I have bad knees so it takes me a little while to get the flood flowing, proper foot placement, and finding that squat hole.
As far as my intensity, unless otherwise noted in my workout (for example speed bench was 45-55% of my 1RM) I go as heavy as possible to get the number of reps.
Hope that answers your questions and feel free to keep them coming!

i didn’t like crewpierce at first b/c of the igf-1 thing, but it turns out that he’s really dedicated and uses his opportunity i guess.
How is your quest for strongman implements coming? I have a sled you could use if you make sure I get it back. I thought you mentioned before that you live in Ann Arbor, I don’t live too far from there.
I gotta admit man, I was on the hatin’ bandwagon too, because of the initial “steroid implications”.
I have to say, I only see that you were interested in those matters because you are super focused on achieving something, and I don’t blame you.
Your posts are awesome. Keep up with the detail and pictures are great too…
It would have been cool if I were chosen, but I don’t need free supps or training to accomplish my goals: I will accomplish them regardless. (Even though Thibaudeau is my freakin’ HERO. he’s the only trainer I would pay money for)
Since I wasn’t chosen, it’s cool to follow someones progress that attacks the challenge as I would have.
I don’t even need to tell you to keep up the hard work. You will.

Hey man thanks for the great post, hearing that I have been able to sway some people with my work ethic only pushes me harder! Haha although with CT’s workouts pushing it all the way in the gym, I doubt I’ll be able to walk on Sunday
I wish you luck in getting into the clinic in the future man! Thank for following along and thanks even more for your support!
Glad to see a local guy in the mix. Keep up the good work. What is the flavor of the new Surge and how do u feel it helping you.
Haha I’m only local until Feb. 1st man then back home for me!
The flavor is Fruit Punch and I’ll let you know for sure what it helps me with when I’ve used it for about a week or so. At the moment it’s just too hard to pin point since I have a new workout, new diet, great supplements, ect.
Sorry I couldn’t answer your question better at the moment, but I promise I’ll give you a better answer once I have one myself!
HaHa keep up the good work CP HaHa
we wana see some big / huge changes HaHa over the next few months. HaHa
I like your dedication HaHa and that you are so goal oriented. HaHa
BTW I find it rather annoying that you use HaHa so often. Sounds to me like some giggling teenage girl. HaHa But maybe thats just your style or the nervousness of this big responsibility you got now.
But I wish you success anyway and keep up all the good posts.
