Physique Athlete/Fitness Model Training?

Same guy, just less size and a different (think “less”) drug routine.
What do you get?
Voila!!!
“Better” (personal opinion I guess) looking absominals.
no doubt he got smaller all around… but those are two different poses and the one on the right being one that does not accent the traps well. His pose is making his traps look much smaller than they really are. It’s like throwing up a front double bi then making fun of that person for having no traps… it’s the pose.

Everyone mentions less drugs.

I’m sure most top pros are probably using.

But am I wrong to feel like these bodies are attainable as a natty.

I feel like I have the potential to look like Rob Riches if I lean down.

173 lb?

Is he like 5’2"? Because that’s a few pounds more than I weigh at 5’8" and I aint got guns like that.

He refcently pissed hot and got dq’d from an event. No offense, no one is looking like that without making this their sole focus in life. Drugs are a big part of that.

Not sure how tall he is, but he’s severely depleted in that vid. I’d guess he probably walks around between 190 and 2-hundo. I’m right there with you. I’m 5’9", 175 and it seems I can match him in strength, and I’m in pretty damn good shape, but I don’t look like that.

Food food more food. Then many suspect insulin as well.
I think it’s the combination. Crazy amounts of food compounded with insulin compounded with GH and IGF1 etc.

^Not sure how tall he is, but I’ve see guys weighing about that looking much much thicker. I’m 5’8 as well, so I would guess that even if he had no leg development to speak of (which I don’t really know, I’m just assuming here for a discussion of weight), he’d have to be taller than me to look as lanky as he does comparatively. Of course Rob is in no real stage condition for a bodybuilding show, but physique competitors don’t want to be too shredded. It’s actually been a rare criticism of a few newer MPD athletes. He’s still 2 weeks out in the posted video, and I would assume if he’s 173 here, if he wanted to do a bodybuilding contest, he’d be lighter than 165 lbs easy. Of course if you wanna see what a top natty bodybuilding pro looks like at 165 lbs for comparison, just google Whitacre or Cordova.

As an aside, I believe (and correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t follow MPD contests too seriously) Riches recently failed a couple of drug tests, and it was quite a topic on FB and a few other forums.

Still, The guy looks damn good, and I think you can tell from the video Flash posted that he’s not just wasting time in the gym like some people might assume because he’s not a “bodybuilder.”

S

Fuck.

I have work work work to do to be weighing 165 like this…and I thought my new delt vein was cool.

And this.

If the top naturals in the world aren’t actually natural I think it would be tough.
Of course it IS attainable, but just not for most.

x2
X3.

Those guys will stand out quite a bit from their size. The biggest difference I see in physique at least with the top competitors is they have a more old school Bber look rather than the mass monsters of today. The top physique guys are training just like Bbers.
you forgot to mention the pink board shorts, the dyed hair, the creepy and embaressing posing/dance moves… The aesthetics(well the judging part of no legs is just stupid) is very admirable and respectable, the actual competitions are a mockery to the sport.

These are the two champs for mr florida this year, tall and short for physique. The spins and twirls and stuff… this just is awful. And these two guys are studs, i mean just fantastic physiques, and they have to do this foo foo stuff.

Jump to 1:35 to see what I mean. Also for the record, this cat has some seriously legs that are forced to be hidden.
Dude in the pink has the creepiest fucking smile.
Ya that guy in the pink looks like a total creep.
No where in the almighty physique rule book does it say you have to pose and pivot like a marionette on stage.
Looks like some moves straight out of this video

Just pose like a normal person
I actually think it would be awesome to see Bauber troll a physique comp.
I am pretty sure you can enter in physique and BB granted you pay 2 entry fees.

It’s weird how is traps shrunk. And sad as well.
The biggest guy I’ve ever personally known (not just a gym acquaintance, but my actual buddy) told me that looking at someone’s traps was the biggest indicator of aas usage. He claimed the traps would blow up and take on a more prominent, imposing shape.
I would agree on this. While my traps and shoulders have always been decent size I assume from years of playing ball. They really blew up with gear.

Your goals are your own thing and that’s fine.

But as a 17-year old dude who weighs less than 130 pounds, please understand that wanting to look like a physique competitor or fitness model versus wanting to look like a bodybuilder has precisely zero impact on how you should be training right now, and probably for the next year or two really.

Train everything (back, chest, arms, legs, calves, everything) and eat plenty. You need to build muscle to get towards your goals. Gain 40 pounds and you’ll end up looking one way. Gain 90 pounds and you’ll have a different look. But how about we focus on gaining the first 15 or 20 and see where that goes.
sorry if this is a stupid question, is that you chris? if so, FUCK.

The honest answer is probably yes. The important factor to consider is WHEN you can look like that. At age 23-26 natural, probably not. It takes time to build that mass. The AAS use accelerates the muscle gain. I see nothing too terribly drastic about their physiques, in fact some natural pro’s could probably be competitive in untested - competitive not victorious.

Also, the joke about the legs thing is getting old. Its been shown time and again that most of the guys have proportionate leg musculature to their upper bodies. They aren’t rocking an X-frame but they are balanced. Just a silly bodybuilder thing.

You can look like him when he is not on his full stack. But when he is on his full stack you won’t be able to match his 3d look, density, vascularity etc that the drugs give him. And standing side by side he will look 50x better then you.

for the record, guys, rob pissed hot for amphetamines. which he blamed on a tainted preworkout supplement. idk what actually happened or if he was on gear, doping, or whatever, but i’m pretty sure amphetamines don’t get you jacked like hgh, test, or anything else lol.

The fact that he blamed a pre-workout is just hilarious. Really, a product marketed to millions has amphetamines in it? Lol… the shit people say when they get caught.

Guys, I wasn’t using illegal drugs on purpose, I ate some Ritz crackers, they must have been laced with LSD!!!

you do realize that the supplement market isn’t actually regulated by the fda, right?

So if Craze was a huge hit, and if lots of people took it, why are hundreds or thousands testing positive for amphetamines? Sure they usually only test the winners in natural shows, but what about random work drug tests, blood tests, etc. You’d think if people came back testing positive for something like that, it’d make the news one they lost their jobs and investigated.

Sorry, I still don’t buy it. You are correct though, there are too many supplements on the market released at any time for the FDA to keep up. That’s how “legal steroids” sit on shelves, because the FDA has to catch up to them. Once they do and make them illegal, the supplement company has already made a “new similar” product.

Lol @ believing what Rob Riches says.

I heard lance Armstrong wasnt taking real drugs, he just made the mistake of using two scoops of Craze before a race one time.
