I had to work at 3 today and I did a little studying at work. I got off at 8 and then hit the gym and did have a kick ass leg day but thats not the point.
I have some hmwk and a little studying to do after I finish the gym.
So I got home and ate, showered, etc and sat down to finish studying right…
Then realized I left all my shit at work! It’d be a 15 min drive in both directions as well as piss off the security co and have to explain why I was there at 11pm…
so pretty much f*cked on the midterm is what I’m thinking…
anybody familiar with the term FUBAR.
thought this might give some of you a laugh…but it really sucks. lol

How well did you expect to go leaving study till 11pm the night before anyway?[/quote]
Some people do much better studying directly before a test, myself included. If you are that type of person it is much easier to retain information when you are forced to learn/study it.

Same here.
There were even times I thought I’d do poorly on a test that day, so beforehand I’d make a “cheat sheet”. But I never had to refer to the cheat sheet because just writing it down within an hour before the test served my short term memory quite well.
lol

Samesies… and it goes for papers and shit too. Give me a month to write a paper and I’ll churn out something better two hours before it’s due than I will weeks in advance.
Shitty storry though DG, I feel your pain. That’s happened to me once or twice so far this semester with Anatomy.
Physiology exams are scary - it would be utterly terrifying to find myself without my study materials the night before the exam!
And who says he didn’t study at all? I always keep up on my course work, but I need to really push the last day or so - and even the morning of - the exam. It helps me to study hard right up 'til the test…
Nobody studies better by solely cramming. You might be good at it, but it’d be silly to think that it trumps a few good days of solid, careful studying.

No one gets big from bodybuilding splits, either.
Just because something doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it doen’t work for others. Aren’t there like three other people in this thread that just said they do well cramming?
Did I ever say that it’s impossible to do well cramming? No. I said that even if you can do well cramming(which I can actually…good job assuming), you will do better with proper studying over the days leading up to a test. It’s stupid to think that cramming the night before can even equate to spending decent time committing things to memory.
I went to New Hampshire for Thanksgiving last year taking my study materials for two finals. I looked them over periodically while there, but planned to do most of the work the two days pre-finals after returning to Texas.
Got on the plane, looked through my stuff, and realized I’d left everything at my parents’.
I passed, but it was the difference between a good grade and a lousy mediocre grade.

x3. I usually slack on studying because well, I hate studying. I skim my notes before the exam and do very well, MOST of the time.

well hell at least u guys do something i usually just go o well ill do fine and go in haha
lol well I did study before hand too… but I had a buddy call who is in the tues/thurs class and he told me pretty much what exactly to study. When I went to do that ‘cramming’ at 11 pm I realized I had no book or notes :S lol
oh well test was hard as hell anyways but the next two are on muscles and stuff so I should be fine. lol
yeah definantly. you can do good cramming or whatever. but you get a much better understanding of the subject matter when you have a longer peroid to actually absorb the information. Not saying shouldnt cram or it doesnt work. but from what i have seen from me and my freinds. if you put in the effort to study you will generally feel more comfortable with the exams and have a chance at higher marks…
on a side note gerdy. now i know your circumstances. yes that does suck a fat one. and i feel sorry for you
