Phlegms' Beginner Log

Mad props for doing more sets after passing out. I had the same happen to me today and I sure as hell didn’t want to try it again haha.
Crazy strong RDLs today.

Shit training today, urrythang felt heavy and I didn’t want to lift any of it. I’ll put this down to end of year exam stress or some shit. Do I even lift?

At least you didn’t choke and die.

Bad workouts happen. You’ll destroy it the next time I’m sure.

Your last 4 FS workouts you’ve worked up to a heavy single, take it back down a notch dood.

Aye, probably wise. I’m subsisting on a diet of whey and stimulants at the moment to get me through exams, so safe to say my recovery is probably not optimal at the minute…

Relevant title? Irrelevant song, choon doe.

Cheer up breh.

You hit 120kg, pretty good for somebody who doesn’t even lift.

The force is strong with this one, but he does not know the extent of his powers. We must wait.

@urryone Soz I didn’t reply, I was too busy making straight gaynz.

3rd May 2012:

A. Front Squats:
barxsome
60kgxsome
100kgx3
120kgx1
130kgx3 x5 (+1 Pr, and volume PR)
120kgx7 (Blerg, wanted 8, next time…)
100kgx20 (Widowmaker PR: Last rep was hilariously ugly, straight gains tho)

B. Close Grip Bench (Belt No wrist wraps):
60kgxsome
80kgx5
90kgx3
100kgx6 (+2 PR, grip was closer in this time too. Huge hammie cramp on the 6th rep, I have more in me)
100kgx6 (Bar rolled viciously on the 6th rep

C. Rdls (No belt):
60kgxsome
100kgxsome
120kgx5
130kgx10
140kgx5 (Possible beltless PR?)

Notes:
Tight,Thick, Solid, Training today. Front squats felt tasty, I feel I have 120kgx10 in me when I’m fresher (ie. not after my work sets). Widow maker was silly brutal as usual, the last rep was amongst the ugliest things I’ve ever produced… Benching felt quite nice actually, haven’t properly benched heavy in a number of months so am happy the strength is still there. The first set of 100kgx6 felt really solid, I was held back by a shitty bar that rolls your wrists like a mother fucker and a weird bench that makes my legs cramp when I set up properly… But still, I can see myself getting easy 100kgx8 at that width close grip. Gainz. The rdls I just threw in for fun at the end, didn’t go too heavy or put in too much volume with them.

Urgh! Too many gains your showing me up over here. Really great front fronts/pressing. I have catching up to do.

So many gains. Dat atmosphere.

THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!

Getting the reps in dude. That widowmaker is insane, not sure I could do that with back squats! lol

@urrryone

<3 you guys, I put it all down to the bloat I’m cultivating and heavy doses of bro-motivation. Group training is a potent force.

4th May:

A. Military Press:
barxsome
30kgxsome
40kgx5
50kgx3
55kgx8 (x3)

B1. Facepulls (wit dat squeeeeeze)
5x8

B2. Bent over Side Db Laterals:
5x10-15

C. Chest Supported Row:
10 sets of 5 @3plates
1 drop set finisher

Notes:
Climbin’ in yo’ windows, snatchin’ yo’ pumps up.

Hey!

Give me my pumps back. :frowning:

Killer workout yesterday.
