Are they? I need statistics.
Sorry guy but when police interactions with citizens of a criminal Nature has been cut in half. the fact that the number of people being shot by cops has not changed. That means the rate of shootings per contact has doubled. I don’t need to prove anything they need to justify the fact that they’re shooting twice as many civilians per contact as they used to
In a free Society the police are not a good thing. they’re a necessary evil. That necessary evil needs to justify its actions everytime it deprives a citizen of his freedom or his life. The citizens do not need to prove that the police are acting incorrectly, the police need to prove that they are acting correctly.
Wake up buddy we are not a police state. We were never meant to be a police state. We are a free people with rights, the police need to justify every instance that they have deprivd a citizen of his rights
That’s not even logical. The rate could be cut to 1/4 but that doesn’t mean that part of that 1/4 are not highly dangers well armed criminals.

They are the only reason that someone bigger, tougher and with more firepower does not take everything you have from your money to your woman.
What you are now seeing has always taken place and most have been justified. But with iphones and social media it has now been brought to light in a way that make the cops look bad in the short term. But in the long-term just like Darren Wilson and others they have been cleared of any wrong doing.
Look it up yourself it is all easy to find. Number of police shootings killings a yea,r murder rates by year. Number of cops murdered per year. It all adds up to cops working in a more peaceful environment but shooting citizens at the same rate as when the crime rate was double what it is now
Hey wasn’t wanted for the robbery; he matched the description of a person involved in a robbery. The cop recognized this and had a reason to pull him over (the tail light). When he got up to the car, the person who matched the description from the robbery (later identified as Castile) had a pistol on his lap. It is probably at this time when the cop drew his pistol and told Castile not to reach for anything. Castile did not comply with the order and was shot multiple times.
This is the current narrative I’m hearing from the media.
Using this logic, I could argue deaths resulting from police shootings is lowering the murder rate.
Yes totalitarian societies have very low crime rates. Is that a justification for them? Is that what you want?
But, that’s not what he said…here come the straw men one by one…
Your in the wrong country.
I see, disagree with you and you are no longer American. Is that how this works?
If you believe in losing a constitutional right over greater greater safety. If you do not mind being treated as subject under the police for the same reason. Your way of thinking is not American. You are in the wrong nation
“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety” …Benjamin Franklin
How do we know he reached for his gun? Take the officer on his word? Why?

What do you guys think of the woman’s eery calmness in his death and live streaming the incident?
My guess: she didn’t give two shits about her dying boyfriend and wanted to cement her future payday.[/quote]
I don’t think she’s calm.
And I think she started recording because that’s what people want to do with the police now. Leave a record of everything.
You made the claim so the burden of proof is on you. I’m not disagreeing with you. I would just like to see some evidence. “Look it up yourself,” doesn’t cut it.
Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain - and most fools do.

Without freedom of thought, there can be no such thing as wisdom - and no such thing as public liberty without freedom of speech.
Benjamin Franklin
She’s in shock. Watch the whole video and you’ll hear her unravel as reality sets in. I don’t know her reason behind recording other than she thought it was best to get a record to protect herself. Livestreamed it because cops may delete things if they get ahold of your phone.
I wouldn’t call someone calmly live streaming her boyfriend’s death being in “shock” but that’s my interpretation.
