Leg Day - * was really surprised at how weak I have become on legs. It’s like completely starting over.
Low Box Squats - barx20, 135x10, 3x8@225
Step ups (Bench height, single leg) - 3x10@135 each leg
Bench Jumps (2 Feet, jump up touch the bench back down) - 3x10
One Legged Bulgarian squats - 3x10 Each Leg
Core training (Various ab movements)
I don’t know if I just had a bad day or if I was feeling some effects from yesterdays training. Anyway a bad day in the gym beats a great day on the couch!

You’ve got that right Colin! Keep up the good work.
CW,
Just went through your thread. What kind of Football are you still playing? That is the greatest thing I’ve heard in a long time. I compete in master’s sports but it’s been a long time since I was out there getting hit. You ever get over to USAFE while in the USAF?
Ramstein had a hell of a team when I was over there. I don’t know what half the stuff you’re doing is but the parts I understand looks like you moving some serious weight.
Question: Smith machine catch and throws. Can you do those alone or do you have someone spotting you? Lot of throwers recommend catch and throws of various kinds.
Semi-pro ball here in West PA. I went thru a bit of a life thing two years ago and decided I still wanted to play ball. Did you know that if you pay your team dues you get to put a helmet on and hit guys again? I blew my arm up and only got to play in one game last year, so I’m training smarter this year! My dream is to play the middle of the D line with my 22 yr old son when he comes back from Iraq! I wasn’t even close to being the oldest guy on the team, We had a 55 year old linebacker!
I was actually in Spangdahlem in 82-84 back when it was F-4’s. We had a pretty good team back then but I didn’t get to play for them. Ramstien and Lakenheath were the power houses!
The throw and catch can be done by yourself. I have worked up to 225 when I was completely healthy. Just be careful to have the hooks way back when you launch it! Start light and you will get the hang of it. It is about the only thing I use the smith machine for, other than holding my coat…HAHA

My prayers are with you as a father and my best to your son. My oldest son, 27, is on his second tour over there. Pararescue. Thinks he can out lift and swim me when he gets back. I’m sure he can out swim me but I’m goin’ make him work for the lifting part.
Thanks for the response. I’m definitely going to give the push and release a try.
Awesome Chief the same to your boy! Please tell him a big “Thank You” for his service! After I retired I worked for a company that converted Vines networks to NT networks and we did the para rescue unit out of Anchorage. They were all happy at the time because they had just rescued a seal team off of Mt McKinley, lol.
I was a Hyd mech, Environmental mech, Elec mech on F4’s, F16’s, C21, C22B, for ten years and then switch AFSC’s to Fixed Comm when computers came out. Spent most of my time at Andrews…
CW, What kind of sled are you talking about? I’m thinking about the one where you lay on your back and push the weights with your legs. Weights are on inclined rails. I don’ think we could get 1200 lbs on it at the gym I work out at. Not enough 100 lbers. Might be showin off but over half a ton is pretty damn impressive.
Thanks Bro, Yeh that is the one. We have a bunch of 100 pound plates at my gym and I had to load a bar across the top. Next time I’m in I’ll post a pic.
