I haven’t posted an update in a while. I wanted to let everyone know that I’m still on my goal to get myself down to 240. I’m currently 300lbs down about 30 lbs of fat from my first 12 week sprint. Anyhow, after Labor Day it’s back to an extreme 12 week high protein low carb diet and I’ll be lifting 4 times a week and for the first time I’ll be incorporating cardio in the form of fasted morning walks for 30-40 minutes.
On Tuesday I’m getting my body fat % done again so I’ll be able to see my progress.
As I am 300 lbs I don’t want to get anybigger but I want to make sure I don’t lose my muscle. I’m thinking of doing that 12 week cycle of Mag-10, Alpha Male 2 week by 2 week with Red Bands throughout the twelve weeks. I’d like to get back down to 260lbs by Christmas.
What do you think? I got to do this.
FWIW, I’ve already allowed myself to plateau and reset at 300 lbs for about 6 weeks.
It’s ambitious, yes, but that isn’t any reason not to give it 100%. Even if you achieved only 85% of your goal, there would be visible, tangible results for your efforts.
If you’re not doing it already, keep a food log and track the amount of P, F and C you’re eating so that you can make adjustments along the way.
The supps look solid, but the diet will get you where you want to go.
Oh, by the way Nice to hear from you again. Hope all is well with you and your father.
Back to the topic at hand.
Big goal yes. Attainable yes.
It’ll be a tough one, and you will be tedering on the verge of losing some LBM to meet that goal. I think you could do it if you approach it correctly though.
Like Terry stated Track EVERYTHING.
The morning weighted walks will be great, and if you dont all ready I would suggest an HR monitor and get your rate in the 65-70%range consistantly during this.
You may also consider a small, like half serving, of Low Carb Grow! prior to the walk. So it would actually be semi fasted. Halting catabolism and not the fat loss. HOPEFULLY. LOL I Beleive LL has been experimenting with such an approach as well as I used it during cutting with good result.
Last thing the supps. Sounds great I would aim to try and lose the most fat weight during your Mag 10 cycles. Were talkking losing double time here, and then slow that greatly during the recovery weeks. It is very easy to lose lbm during that recovery period while getting your hormone levels back to par. Hard part is going to be the hunger. Most ppl say the are constantly hungry while on Mag 10, I know I eat like a horse on it.
Um thats about it I guess. Unless I think of something else. Good Luck and keep us informed.
BTW, I was training last week with Ron on Friday and I upped my bench to 315 for a set of 8 and 6 reps! That’s the most I’ve ever done!
I am a firm believer in his strength training system. Doing high reps with longer rests between the sets has gotten me stronger and bigger. Although the whole reason I did strength training was that I wouldn’t get bigger, I’ve been having to get bigger shirts.
Phill, It makes sense to me now that you say it about using the Mag-10 weeks as my cutting weeks and my Alpha Male as more of a recovery weeks. Good thinking.
I may try the near zero carbs on my Mag 10 weeks except for Surge during my workouts. I’m a big fan of Surge it has really helped me out.
Well I guess I’ll get ready for D-day. If there is anything else I may need let me know.
