Holy crap! That’s a dog pack!

It must cost a small fortune to feed them.

Only the Great Dane is mine, and he is pretty small, for a Dane. About 96 lbs. He does not eat more than your average lab, say. The yellow dog is my daughter’s and no longer lives with me. I dogsit occasionally. The two little ones I was dogsitting at the time.

We (Seamus and I) will be moving in with my boyfriend soon. He has a chihuahua…they are quite the mutt and jeff pair, but they are buddies.

Not the greatest picture, but I need to scan some older pics of the horses or wait until they shed out and get some new ones. They all look like crap right now.

This is my Arabian mare, Tia. It’s amazing how she’s lightened up over the years … she used to have black points a a black mane and tail. (She’s pretty dusty in this picture.)

My 7 month old Australian Shepherd. He loves getting into the houseplants, spilling soil all over the place, and then chewing through the unplugged vacuum cord. In 3 different places.

Pretty dog. I love ausies. If I ever get another dog, they will be on my list for consideration.
I would definitely recommend them. They are kind of high maintenance though. I have to brush Mavrick every other day to keep the shedding down and they are VERY people dependant. He’s never more than 5 feet from me when I’m home. But definitely worth it.

This is Moonbeam, my minature mare. My daughter thought it would be fun to show her where we keep the carrots. I made her clean up the inevitable mess…

My daughter a few years back on her welsh/arab pony, Majic.

Awww! I had a Welsh pony when I was about 7 or 8. That’s basically how I learned how to ride … via the school of hard knocks! They are so tough!

Here’s my 2 year old Husky “Max.” Was told he was a purebred, but other huskies I’ve seen are wider. Our vet says he must have a bit of wolf in him to make him so lanky.

One more…

She LOVED exploring too, always getting into trouble and sticking her head where it didnt belong <grinnin>

I lost count of the hours she spent sitting on my knee while I gently unraveled new growing feathers around her neck…definitely one of her favorite activities, right up there with stealing popcorn and driving me ape shit

The pic is just a random cockatiel pic I thought was cute  They are extremely social animals and much smarter than most people would give them credit for.

Great thread imhungry!
I had a female cockatiel in England. Her name was Kita. She learned new words really easily. She used to torment my dog Chester. He’d be asleep, and she’s walk/sneak across the floor, push her head way forward, and YANK the little hairs between the toes of his paws.

YANK! yank! He’d yelp, and wouldn’t touch her. She’d just keep yankin em right out. I think he was afraid of her. Then she’d hop up on his head, and make “be-bop” moves with her head.

If she wanted attention, she would ring like the phone. So I’d go running in to answer the phone, and she’d be dancin’ and fluffin’ around, all happy that I came in to see her. (I would answer the phone, and get all mad that somebody hung up again.) Took me at least a month to figure it out. Ugh!

HEY Geminspector… the dog I’m talking about here… he had cancer of the lymph glands when he was 5. We did chemo & prednisose (steroids). He lived to 18 years old. Just put him to sleep about 3 weeks ago. I am sure sorry your sweetie is going though this. He’s a SUPER Cutie!

Hehe yeah they definitely like tugging on stuff they arent supposed to be messin with

Funny thing about birds…budgies and cockatiels are often better talkers than the bigger parrots. Our cockatiels didn`t talk (that is, not unless you asked my ex that same question ;)), however I owned a budgie as a kid who was a fantastic orator.

And yes, he drove me mad in the mornings with his startling rendition of my mother`s stressed-out rantings: “Hurry up Cowboy and finish your breakfast!” or “Come on Cowboy gonna be late gonna be late!” Yeah, that was another love-hate relationship right there ;-p

Now bigger parrots are a whole other thang. I had one clamp down HARD on my freakin EAR... that was a whole lotta fun. I had another dive-bombing me with AGGRESSION in my exs living room…haha that was a funny one, and that freakin` parrot, let me tell ya, was the most unpredictable little fucker…

So if I ever want to get you riled up, all I have to do is talk like a budgie? lol

Parrots & Cockatoos can be MEAN. Scary & mean. It reminds you that they are raptors.

Kita used to attack the phone line, the mouse cord, any string, and my hair.

She also taught me that I say “okay” a lot on the phone, because she started mimicking me. I had a budgie that loved pepperoni pizza. Had a horse that would steal bottles of beer & drink them. She also stole dog food out of the dog’s bowl.

I’m really sorry about that.

A few months ago, I had to have my cat put down. It was more difficult than I thought it would be.

This is also why I have decided to stick with fish.

Do you have a picture? Sorry you lost your cat. I’m sure it couldn’t have lived that long without lots of love. ;o) I’ll bet you miss your kitty. So sorry.
