Last one, promise. Had her trimmed to avoid an apocalyptic shed phase last fall, it’s growing back nicely now though.

Did it work or did she still blow her coat? If it works I may have to give it a try with mine.
She’s the perfect storm when it comes to her shed because she’s got Malamute in her too (probably why she’s a little stockier than most huskies too). It worked for that shed phase and it’ll probably delay her next one till about June, but I’ll still have to stay on top of it. Wouldn’t trade her for the world though.

Zorro and Pimiko (both 10 - same litter), in a rare moment of harmony.

Wow, thanks for posting up your pets, everyone!
There’s a hell of a lot of dog owners on this site (especially pitbulls) and they’re all sharp looking animals. I’m a fan of the cats, but dogs are a close second. I always thought about getting ferrets, but they don’t have such a long life-span. I think the average age is 7 years…
Christine, we need more fish pics!!
I’m surprised that there isn’t more reptile owners on here.
Keep the pictures coming…

Another one of Fred. Apparently he’s also a contortionist.

That’s one good lookin’ dog, man.

So he would just get grouchy & bash them all over the tank. Hilarious to watch. He’d leave them all alone for a day or so… then BLAM! Named him Grouch.[/quote]
Haha! BLAM! Great story Renee
I love observing animals, whether in their natural habitat or otherwise…its so much fun, and theres so much to learn!
One of my exes was crazy into birds, and we had this one little female cockatiel who was QUITE the character, I`ll tell ya!! She drove me nuts but I loved her to death
She was always glued to me, I even showered with her every morning and gave her a little bath of her own (only I could do this with her, even though my gf had owned the bird for several years before I came into the picture). She would follow me around the apartment, continually…sometimes on foot, which was particularly funny, watching her run down the corridor even though she was perfectly capable of flying the same distance in 1/10th the time… ![]()
She LOVED exploring too, always getting into trouble and sticking her head where it didnt belong <grinnin>
I lost count of the hours she spent sitting on my knee while I gently unraveled new growing feathers around her neck…definitely one of her favorite activities, right up there with stealing popcorn and driving me ape shit ![]()
The pic is just a random cockatiel pic I thought was cute
They are extremely social animals and much smarter than most people would give them credit for.
Great thread imhungry!

That 7 year life span is why I didn’t go with a Mastiff or a Great Dane or any other breed of dog that didn’t live very long. My dog is 7 right now and I couldn’t imagine having to say goodbye already. No way.

My great dane she’s 4

Thanks man, Bailey looks awesome too, hilarious pic of her with the pumpkin, very cool.

My 7 month old Australian Shepherd. He loves getting into the houseplants, spilling soil all over the place, and then chewing through the unplugged vacuum cord. In 3 different places.

Pretty dog. I love ausies. If I ever get another dog, they will be on my list for consideration.

The dog in the foreground is my Great Dane, Seamus. He was left behind in the house I moved into. He is a very good boy, but anxious, since I was his fourth owner by the time he was three.
The golden girl in the middle is my daughter’s dog, Sadie. She is an akita/lab cross, very smart. She is in training to be a Delta Society pet therapy dog. The two little ones belonged to a friend.
I love this photo–hard to get four dogs sitting still and looking the same direction!!
