Personal Trainer Etiquette?

As a personal trainer I would jump at the chance to be able to really push somebody. Most people really don’t want that and can get results without taking it to the limit. There’s also the risk of injury and getting sued, if you’re the trainer. I hate to bring that up but it happens way to often. Some may be reluctant to push you as hard as you want. I would suggest you make things plain to your trainer if you decide to go that route. This means communicating your goals and what you want from him/her.I think everyone has covered things pretty well on this thread but here’s one thing to think about. Motivation can be extrinsic or intrinsic. Getting motivated by something externally by say, a magazine, contest,(trainer), or seeing someone busting their butt is one way. Or say, getting complemented on being built is nice. It’s like frosting on the cake it’s a great way to get motivated once in awhile. Don’t ever get dependent on this kind of motivation. Just remember that being able to motivate yourself from inside is where your strength really lies. Good luck Mufasa
