I do have first responder training though because that’s required for my regular job.

I had a very pleasent experience yesterday working doors. But I’m super tired today for it.

1 barbell seated jumps
4 x 3 @ 40 kg

2 paused btn jerk
5 x 3 @ 110 kg
Just now realized this was the same as last time. I thought I had 100 kg on last week. Fml. That made me angry so I increased for my last set despite feeling very sluggish.
1 x 3 @ 120 kg

3 ssb pause squat
5 x 3 @ 142 kg

Intentionally same weight as last time. But + 1 set.

4 rear delt swings destroyer set (chest supported)
30 - 20 - 10 - 30 @ 12,5 kg - 7,5 - 5 - 2,5

Not exactly a step forward but still not a bad session in itself.

No one asked but the reason there are no videos is that we have had issues with our internet provider for some time. I looked jacked the other day though and overhead performances are quite promising…

1 weight for height throws
Used 18,2 kg and got humbled as fuck. This is a zero at this point. I’m not yet registered and not sure I’m going to change that.

2 ssb box squats
3 x 6 @ 132 kg - above parallel

3 sandbag and keg carry medley of death and doom in hell
87 kg keg and 75 kg sandbag.

  • 10 rounds of 10 m on each implement for total time : 7:50 Min.

The back pump was worse than the lung fire.

Not a session to write home about. I’m 4 weeks out if I want to put myself out there in my current shape.

Ergometer cycling
32 minutes (-28) @ 140 watts (-10), >70 rpm,

I have been slacking off on this. And it shows and I have build some more inner resistance I need to overcome to step on the bike. Then I got a disappointing message and stepped off in the middle of it. That’s weak, I know.

Weight this morning was 120,5 kg.

I started to build an atlas stone yesterday!

I’ve solved my inability to avoid negativity when confronted with it, in this scenario, by putting my phone facedown, on silent, away from the bike.

That would have been the better choice here. It wasn’t anything dire by any means but enough to put me in a bad mood

I will call that a PR triple, although it’s not technically a clean one. On the first rep I hit the blocks on my dip, which threw me off. Then I initially failed the 3rd rep. I regrouped, took a deep breath and completed it. Had 30 sec between those, so I will play devil’s advocate and still name it a triple.

Stuck to new technique (flexing my triceps and in line with that rounding my upper back). Good bar path and on video it looked fast but it felt kind of heavy …

Jup. They’re gonna use some random bar in comp, so that seems like an appropriate choice.

Unfortunately the comp is getting in the way (time wise) of a potential jerk max out. So I will have to start planning that a bit better. I’m like 90% sure at this point that I’m going to compete.
