Shit session. Everything was rushed and felt rubbish. Also somehow hard despite the huge cut backs in weight and volume. I guess I’m still playing catch up with my recovery.
One more deload session to go. I ideally want to do that tomorrow because then I have multiple days without any kind of weight training.
again focused on pushing the knees more forward on the jerks, as requested by coach. Feels better than expected so far. Will wait for feedback.
better than yesterday bur squats didn’t feel all that hot.
all in all a typical deload week. They usually feel off to me, even if I need them. Tomorrow will just be some tennis training, no match and then it’s time to shift into next gear
Went in a day earlier than planned. I don’t know why, I just felt really pumped to lift some weights. That’s super rare and I figured to take advantage of that is the other end of the spectrum of “listening to your body”.
4 seated ham curls (unilateral bc weight stack too light)
4 x 8
5 pull ups (banded)
3 x 6
6 incline db row
3 x 8 @ 32 kg
Notes:
deadlifts are always hard to judge for me. This was the heaviest I’ve pulled since my injury in February. Back felt flawless, form looked ok to me, weight felt fairly easy but didn’t exactly move fast. Which is the part that bothers me. Then again I’m not usually a fast lifter and I should stop laying into me and just trust the process. Set 3 was the best one. Great control and bracing.
3rd set was the best on incline. Don’t have that on film sadly but I managed to do a short pause on rep 6. Lots of agression went into inclines again today. Not to say that they are growing on me, they can still fuck themselves, but I kinda like the challenge.
Tonight will be max effort sushi. So tomorrow the belt will fit good and weights will get smashed.
Oh, I never eat the rice. I go to sushi restaurants for the pounds of raw fish. Buffets are the only way I don’t bankrupt my parents when eating japanese
I’ll be the referee here and declare sushi the winner!
Good (!) sushi is about my favorite food in the world.
Also I can’t do anything other than fixed price all you can eat. I’m willing to pay a proper price for it because again, good(!) sushi is the key but on the other hand my consumption of raw fish and seaweed can only be topped by a whale. So a la card is out of the question.
On the one hand, pizza is great. On the other hand, sushi is great.
And I think you already know it, @dagill2, but anyone of British or English decent is not allowed a vote on which food is best. Unless we are comparing, I don’t know, our favorite brand of canned beans or instant coffee.
