True but my PR for ‘plate falling on foot’ is actually 15 kg :muscle:. Which even from hip height is apparently heavy enough to break a toe.

I am guessing 10 kilo from head height would be much worse.

Agreed. That would have probably broken more than one toe. Also from some really bad sporting accidents (well really bad for thr other guy) and a bad car crash, I already know my head and neck can take a beating. Unlike my pussy hands apparently

This is embarassing but I need to own it: These runs were probably really slow, especially towards the later intervals and it still trashed me! Hard on the shins and the lungs.

  • today I might use the infrared sauna which is odd since the weather is so nice but I think it’s my best bet for speeding up recovery that extra little bit.

Hows the hand healing?

Very good, thanks! Honestly a lot better than I or the surgeon initially thought. I really think I will be able to continue normal training now but I’ll closely monitor any impact that has on the surrounding tissue.

Phew got off easy there. I have had a lot worse guesses said to me in person! Including someone assuming I was 35 when in reality I was 22 at that point.

I was just being nice. I was totally thinking you look 35.

In all honesty, 30+ is a regular guess. Mainly because of the beard, I guess.

I am just messing with you anyway. It isn’t like I zoom in on your photo and try to guess how old you are.

Don’t sweat it @Koestrizer , @Cyrrex is just sad that you are half his age (and nearly same for me). If you add 10kg a year to your lifts for the next 10years you will be a monster and still 10-15 years younger than we are now…sad !!! :joy::joy::smiley:

Everything else aside, that is an interesting thought experiment: I would be one of the best barbell pressers in strongman, an elite log lifter (by now’s standard) and a mediocre deadlifter and squatter (kind of at the level a lot of my competition is at right now) :joy:
