True. I’m sure that on the whole, daytime chat shows attract a certain type of audience member. I always think of it as the modern equvalent of peasants gathering round the stocks to throw rotten veg at whoever was in them at the time.
It’s mostly opportunists knowing they can hurl abuse with impunity. In fact, the producers probably encourage such behaviour.
EDIT: Furthermore, most of the audience probably didn’t even know what the topic of discussion was going to be until the very last minute.

By tearing him down, she was implying that being overweight and sedentary is a better way to go.
