I’ve been on TRT (test cyp, 140mg/wk) for about six years. I’ve been having some prostate/urinary symptoms and I want to go off the TRT for a bit to kind of reset and see if that helps the urinary symptoms at all. Would love some advice on the best PCT protocol after being on for such a long time.
Before I went on LT TRT I would do 3 month cycles and then PCT protocol of 500 IU hcg + 2 clomid daily for 10 days. Then 2 clomid/day for another 10 days. Is that enough given how long I’ve been on now? Or should I do a more aggressive PCT?
Okay, say you stop TRT and urinary symptoms get better, but now all symptoms of low-T return, what’s your game plan then?
The way I see it, stopping TRT may solves one problem, but it creates many more.
There’s no biological advantage to lowering testosterone.
A good PCT is hCG 1500-2000 split 3x weekly for 15 days, followed by 25-50 mg clomid daily for 28 days.
Agreed it creates another problem. But I never tested out any of the “natural” options - supplements, hcg by itself, etc. So maybe I’ll try that after PCT. Unsure yet.
Men who typically have prostate problems are older men, testosterone goes down as we age, not up.
You can only fight to prevent further declining testosterone.
Supplements don’t increase testosterone.
