It’s a shame that Romney is blunting the Ryan enthusiasm. That’s ok, as Ryan is seen more and more, he might still be able to drag Romney over the finish line.

It’s more of a shame that your hate for Romney blinds you to the facts…or were you joking I just can’t tell.

Yeah, because Romney was strong against a failed Presidency.
Edit: Look, I’m just trying to comfort you. Ryan is strong enough that he might be able to propel even Romney to a win. That’s all I’m saying.
And hey, you may already be seeing some good news.

And can we wait until the 7 day rolling average shakes out, at least?
How do you vote for someone that puts out all those crazy ads about Romney. The one that claims Romney caused the death of a man’s wife was fucking ridiculous. Any sane person wouldn’t believe that nonsense. Biden is falling off super hard after his comments about how Romney will put people back in chains. The whole Obama party is pathetic.
I wish politics didn’t involve all the accusing and only used straight facts. Making up bullshit about each other is childish. It’s like teenage girls spreading rumors about each other.

Because otherwise rational adults, glued to their bias, see an add that appeals to their emotion or a good deep ad hominen and they suddenly feel informed.
The best part, they didn’t have to do any work. They didn’t have to read, didn’t have to think, the TV did their thinking for them.
The rise of facebook has added a new layer to this, it is called “I’m going to put a bunch on non-sense and bullshit on a pretty picture, cite not a single fucking source, and a bunch of people will literally comment ‘facts seem to always be on our side’”.
I would call the general population morons, but they aren’t. They just don’t understand, either themselves or what they are missing.

Exactly!! I have been watching more political TV and have really payed attention. If more people did this they could make up their own mind. Granted, I’ve been watching Fox News which is for Romney, but still. People just need to open their eyes and realize all the BS Obama’s party is putting out.

I would not blame Him if he refused to get involved in politics.
He has enough on his hands with professional sports.

And I was hoping that you were correct a few days ago. But according to the link that I posted he’s doing worse than any VP pick of either party over the past 24 years!
Sometimes I want to be wrong and this is one of those times.

Well, I’m glad to see you’re seeing things in a spiritual light. I thought you’d never come around.

Hey, I like you man but you really need to know that you are about as effective at winning converts to Christ as the typical street corner Preacher who stands there daily and shouts at people as they walk by.
Why does he fail?
Because it’s all about context! Someone walking into a drug or sporting goods store doesn’t want to listen to someone shouting about God. It’s odd and completely out of context! You would expect that if you attended such a church, but not walking down the street.
The same here man.
Context is the key. When the topic of God comes up you are there and can assist people to the truth, no problem. But when the topic is say Tapioca pudding posting that Tapioca pudding doesn’t matter as long as you have Christ in your heart, and by the way I hate Catholicism, really serves no purpose other than to amuse or irritate.
Not everyone knows that you’re a nice guy. All they know is that on every thread you have to constantly shove God in their face. Hijacking Internet threads is not a good way to win people to Christ, and that should be obvious…right?
More sales are made by the potential buyer liking the sales person than by the buyer disliking the sales person.
Think about it my friend.

With me giving you a hard time lately (that’s the presidential political season for ya), I hope I at least brightened your day. Can they build on these numbers? I actually believe that if Romney keeps any ‘negativity’ numbers related (employment, budget), Obama’s favorables are going to start taking a hit. The ‘Romney is a murderer’ thing didn’t go over very well. Biden’s chains gaffe wasn’t helpful. I think they might be over-reaching, putting their own favorables in danger. And I think Romney/Ryan might be onto something with emphasizing that Obama cut 700+ billion from medicare, to pay for another program. Something Romney/Ryan intend to reverse.

I also think Ryan is helping make inroads into younger voters (there are bunch of articles about him helping win the Generation X vote, as he is one of them, and that trickle down impact to Generation Y, millenials, etc.). I don’t think there will be a youth “wave” for Romney/Ryan, but the bad news for Obama is that youth voter enthusiasm is already down, and he can’t afford to lose any of them - but it appears he might.
It makes sense - Obama represents naked, self-indulgent Baby Boomer politics, and Generation X is famous for rejecting Boomer habits and politics. Maybe, just maybe, the election of 2012 will be the revenge of Generation X against the Baby Boomers who think they should grow fat and happy feasting on the future of their children.
Maybe, just maybe

Maybe, just maybe[/quote]I think you may be overestimating how many to whom this is clearly understood. Maybe not too, but I don’t seem to bump into that many young people with a lot of level headed foresight.
